Let OSU's dream run begin .... let's just hope Buford goes on a run like Kemba Walker did last year to give UConn their chance.

i'd actually be ok with Buford being completely useless this whole time, as long as everyone else shows up.

Valid point.

So excited right now! I only wish I'd remembered to bring my phone charger to work so I could watch this afternoon.
you can watch online at cbssports.com
Anybody by any chance have another site that I might be able to stream from? Can't get the updated adobe to work at my office computer!
all links go to NCAA.com. They are pretty much controlling the whole thing. Any game on a cable channel (TBS, Tru.) are not available online which is absolutely stupid!
Looks like I am going to have to strong arm my network administrator on this one...
and so it begins!
Scoreboard: Vegas 1, Chris 0.
Hate waking up crazy drunk...that means the hangover is still a couple hours away.
Just keep drinking. You can't be hungover if you're still drunk

Hopefully my anti-homer approach for my bracket this year will allow us to advance further in the tourney.

Well looking at the 11W challenge, it reads something like this:
kentucky, UNC, OSU, Kentucky, UNC, OSU....Syracuse????
the fact that Missouri is picked to win is weird, Florida State as well. Syracuse??? Someone hasn't been up on their current events!
I believe Colorado State has more turnovers then shots this half.
go bucks
It's official. No work will be done the rest of the week.

ByU getting dominated by Marquette at the moment

Got TV and cable in my office that I only really use two days each year. Looks like Wisky has Montana in their "sleeper hold". I think the Buckeyes may be on a collision course with the Badgers. I hate their style of play.
Hopefully, if Ohio State ends up facing Wisky in the round of 8, at that point Wisky will have inadvertantly put themselves to sleep, too. Ohio State can then tiptoe in, make sure that Wisky has comfy pillows, and sneak out with a 55-25 victory before Wisky wakes back up.
well Fido, Looks like I was right. You owe me a steak dinner! lol
Louisville played tough but we'll see how far it will take them.
I find it crazy that Lunardi has Wisky beating OSU. Wisky got lucky in their win. No way buckeyes would let that happen again. Syracuse is struggling with UNC-ash so far also. That would be a huge upset!
Has a 16 ever beaten a 1? I don't think it's happened before.
nope. It would be unprecidented. However, if Cincinnati would have gotten a #1 seed when K Mart went down, I think that would have been the most opportune moment. Syracuse will probably win but it is not looking very pretty.
I was impressed by U of L in that game. Siva and Dieng on the bench and they still won pretty easily.
Did you pick Louisville to go far? I still stand by my prediction that the winner of the New Mex/LBS game will beat Louisville.
I do have Louisville going on to MSU. I have them beating MSU but not overly confident. I just think the matchup for MSU is not an easy one and by that point Louisville might be very confident.
I have them to the sweet 16 too, darn near had them over MSU too though, but MSU has just played so well and Izzo in March you can't bet against.
ah yes but Louisville does have some revenge factor. They lost to MSU 3 years ago when they were the #1 overall seed. Pitino will have some extra motivation and might expliot them with Gieng. Who knows but it will be a battle me thinks!
This is true, I was thinking about it and I know last year they lost first round, but to pull off what he has done the last 2 years with the significant injuries they've had, that's really impressive. The last 2 years may have been a couple of the best coaching jobs he's ever done.
If Ashville holds on, will this be bigger than App St over Michigan?
To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.
As an OSU fan, not even close. but on a historical level, it would probably be the biggest upset ever! The whole idea of getting a #1 seed is to pretty much guarantee you can't lose. I think there has only been one #2 seed that has lost to a #15 in the past decade, Kansas. I could be wrong though.
edit: I was wrong. Iowa state was the last #2 seed to lose to a #15 in 2001.
It'll be huge, but it will have an askerisk attached, since they're missing their starting center. Michigan doesn't have the luxury of saying Mike Hart or Chad Henne were out.
Syracuse already hurting without Melo. Didn't expect it to be this bad, though!
Land-Grant Holyland
It looks like 'Cuse will be the first 1 seed out of this tournament. I mean, they could've waited for K.State and help my bracket.
Does Boeheim just say Eff it and retire after this season? The child molestation stuff, then the drug test mess, and Melo suspensions, I just have to wonder if that'll be enough for him to just turn tail and run out of there. I dont t hink Asheville pulls this one off, but I seriously doubt they'll make it past K-State who is a physical well coached team.
I think Boeheim should retire after this year. However, I don't think he will.
As much as I want UNC Ashville to win, if KState beats them, at least it will work with my bracket.
Boeheim's too much of an arrogant prick to retire and no one at Syracuse is sane enough to fire him.
Refs trying to help Syracuse survive. Connected?
Now it's getting very shady.
some very strange officiating, to say the least.
That 's amazingly bad officiating. However, it usually goes both ways. Seemed to be all in one direction and that lane violation/interference call on the free throw? Has t be the worst call I have ever seen in sports.
The officiating was so bad I am tempted to put an asterisk next to the claim, "No #16 has ever beaten a #1".
I'm sorry for not being sorry.
so much bullshit with that syracuse game
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
and there goes the tournament! Officials just made the scene. That is such crap.
I want to see 'Cuse exposed by KState now. The officiating I saw was ridiculous.
Wow the UNC-A/Cuse refs make Hightower and Valentine look decent. That's tough to do. If I was the UNC-Ashville coach I would be going off. Should have easily been tied or a 2 point game down the stretch, instead the officials kept it at a 3-5 deficit most of the way.
I feel like the Long Beach - New Mexico game is in slow motion right now. I swear, the guy had the gentlest dunk I've ever seeen.
This 2nd half of the LBSU/NM game is crazy. Runs by both teams, neither team cracking. Godd stuff.
I hope Kansas St whoops Syracuse.
I honestly think the officials in that Syracuse/UNC-Ash. game should be investigated. How else can you explain it? It wasn't just the end of the game - with the obvious blown calls, but there were other terrible, terrible missed calls/bad calls. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but guess what - this isn't a conspiracy theory....it's merely pointing out the obvious & logical --- the refs in this game were helpful to Syracuse, and the timing of the calls makes you wonder. If I heard that some of these guys were paid off, or something shady....I wouldn't be surprised one bit.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Honestly, the whole situation 'Cuse is in right now is extremely curious. The day after selection Sunday, when the brackets are absolutely finalized, the school comes out with the information that their freshman phenom, and a large part of their success this season, is academically ineligible. I can understand if they're on the quarter system and he didn't perform well, as quarters ended, but they're a semester school. Why does the school wait until the day after it not to secure their spot as a 1-seed.
In today's game, UNC Ashville obviously wanted the game more, and worked harder from what I saw. However, the fouls within the 2 minute mark were curiously in Syracuse's favor. Some where legitimate by the rule book, but others were more ambiguous. If more foul play is revealed from 'Cuse, I wouldn't be surprised.
conspiracy or not, the fact they did not even attempt to review the out of bounds play is very sketchy. It was clearly not even close to the UNC player.
The New Mexico - Long Beach State game is close with 2:30< left. 68-63
LBSU!!! ahh
COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH...ugh, Why is there all this chalk dust flying up in here?! COUGH COUGH!
just wait, last year was chalk, upsets, chalk, upsets
in my mind there was already an upset. Its just the powers that be that is keeping the chalk.
Redstorm45, Yeah that's sort of scary, since our boys still have to play, and some of the other teams we might be following like Xavier or Cincy or the other B1G's, also still have their games to go.
I meant day 1 was chalk, day 2 a bunch of upsets, day 3 chalk, day 4 upsets
Dare I ask why there's chalk dust flying on the internet?
