Quick question on fouls
If a player has his hands straight up (feet planted) while the opposing player is trying to shoot, its supposedly not a foul. What if a player has hands reaching out and over a player who is trying to shoot (feet planted)? Is that a foul?
Reason I ask is because Anthony Davis seems to do the latter a lot and doesn't get called, but I thought arms had to be straight up for it to not be a foul.
I just don't see anybody beating Kentucky

It does mess with sightlines and does take time to get used to.
They've each spent the same amount of time in the Superdome...so does UK have superior vision?
Kentucky played in the Georgiadome the past 2 games and Louisville played in an NBA arena. So Kentucky should be more used to the sightlines in a dome style arena. That and most of their makes have come on layups.
Sorry, I don't buy it. All of these kids are elite players that come from backgrounds that include playing basketball everywhere and anywhere from when they were kids. You don't remember going to the park or your backyard playing basketball? Did you complain about a lack of backdrop or other factors that are different in an arena? Do you think these players did back in their young days? I can see young Tyshawn Taylor as a kid playing basketball outside blaming a few missed shots on not playing in an arena. No. Give a true player a basketball and a hoop and he'll go out and ball, regardless of where the hoop is. Yes, these players are subject to poor play at times, but it has nothing to do with playing in a dome.

My word, it's just not fair. Davis will destroy either OSU or KU I think unless he gets in foul trouble. Louisville looks outmatched at every position.
Why? I'm sick of people treating this Kentucky team like '76 Indiana. This team HAS NOT earned that. They've lost two games to two non-elite teams.
And Louisville is not even close to being out of this game right now.

Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
They lost on a buzzer beater on the road thanks to some shoddy officiating at a FOUR SEED's place and then in the conference title game to a 5 seed.
Did you see UK jump out in front like it was nothing? If Gilchrist isn't in foul trouble, it could be worse.
Alright, nevermind. Louisville just Kentucky'd Kentucky. The lack of FT's for UK is hurting them. They're being forced to play their bench guys a lot of minutes.
LOL at the notion that four and five seeds are elite. And they should have lost that Indiana game by 7+ if it weren't for Crean and Indiana letting them back in it.
Yes. Kentucky has earned the top seed, being number one, and being the favorite to win it all. But they HAVE NOT earned this legendary and invincible attitude that some people have for them. I would like nothing more than for us to end that all on Monday.

His was for the win in the title game and it was about 3 inches from going in, literally. I agree about the final 4 but 1st round games at the half when it's a 10 point game....come on.

BS cable company. My HD channel is all messed up and they won't come out to fix it till Monday. I said that is BS because the reason I want to watch this channel is tonight.
So now I have to watch it on the regular channel and can't see half the court.

Nah. I don't do bars during games like this and my local friends are all down in New Orleans rooting on the Cardinals!
I hear on the bars/restuaraunts/whatever. If I'm not at the game, I watch every game at my place by myself or with close friends.

I knew a guy who would literally lock himself in a room and watch by himself. We always teased him about having a cry blanket when his team loses.

Louisville has to be happy. They weathered the storm. Got some key UK guys with 2 fouls. Have to shoot better and stop transition points, but Pitino is a master halftime coach. I don't think they have the athletes to hang with UK, but it should be close.
Could UK have had an easier road to the NCG if in fact they win? No 2 seed, no 1 seed. They haven't run into any powerhouse type teams thus far. IU didn't have Verdell Jones. I guess Baylor was decent but no one looked at them as a final 4 kind of team. Even Louisville is a bit of surprise to be here.

I like Louisville's chances. They seemed more nervous, more mistakes than KY, in the beginning but as they settle down I like their chances. First time I've watched KY and they seem like an arragant bunch... hope they go down.
BTW, Siva has 0 points. He's got to get something going.
I noticed that Louisville had a harder road to get there. Hopefully, that will help them down to the buzzer.

Supposedly he did that once and it didn't work. At least its a trademark. He could sign a contract with Nike and his shoe will have 2 swooshes mirrored each other and connected in the middle!
He's about to face an awkward point in his life. He either has to face a future where he is the NBA guy with the hideous unibrow, or he is the guy who has to shave his unibrow. There is no easy answer.
