Watched the game. Still haven't recovered.
Luke went to my high school and was obviously a local hero in our little farm burg. We were all just devastated for him when this happened. I've never forgiven that cocksucker Dave Winfield (yes, one and the same) as being a key player in the whole thing. He's done a pretty good job of keeping that swept under the rug, but I see red every time I see him or read his name.

This half from Minnesota is one of the worst I've ever seen.

I'd say so. That wasn't a great game but I don't think we played that bad for most of the game (got a little rushed in the 2nd half). Just couldn't hit any shots. Defense was below average, yea. Minnesota has at least 4 or 5 unforced TOs already.
Or some forced...but passes that never should have been thrown.

Im calling Sweet 16 at best! We have no player-makers and Sully & Thomas get cooked on defense. Sully only last rookie contract in the NBA. His athletic ability will take him overseas.

Sully is an NBA player but you will see him use his mid range game more.

If they keep moving the ball like they are.... the shots will fall at some point. They need to keep going to the bench in the first half to keep the starters fresh, but hell ya I do.
The problem with your statement is that we don't have guys that can hit shots. We miss Diebler more than anything. Bufford is inconsistent. Thomas is picks up all the garbage points but he can't really create his own shot. Craft is great on defense but can't create shots for others nor for himself. Not to mention he can't shoot. Matta plays 2 guys off the bench. We are missing playermakers and shooters. We have a bunch of talent but none of them compliment the other.
Buford is streaking but thomas and smith will hit if open.
No Final 4 in this teams future.

we will never be a final 4 team till we play 8 deep with someone who will actually shoot the ball off the bench. thompson almost pisses down his leg when he has wide open shots. barring a oop he is not taking a shot. and he is our best bench player. final 4 is a pipe dream...

Look Sully, Spoon and Burke made up the best high school basketball team in the nation. They beat the catholic schools that recruit. Spoon can play he just needs mins.

There is a reason we play the games, you know. What if we match up better? Or someone gets injured from the other team before we play them? There are a lot of variables that go into a game, and a deep tourny run. We have the right pieces, it's a matter of putting it together.
Last year, we didn't think that Diebs could drive, but he started showing he could finish at the rim consistently during the BTT. Anything can happen, and until we are out of the tourny, I believe we can win it.
