McManus Sticks with Mountaineers
It was rumored yesterday that OSU may get in late with Baltimore (MD) Dunbar star WR Deontay McManus, but rumors was all it was. McManus announced moments ago at Dunbar that he has signed with the Mountaineers, sticking with the verbal pledge he made last year.
McManus's name has been connected to Ohio State for some time, but the receiver never took an official visit to Columbus and the Buckeyes appeared to never seriously be in the running. With Frank Epitropoulos, Ricquan Southward, Mike Thomas, and possibly Stefon Diggs or Davonte Neal in the fold, the need at receiver isn't great, so don't fret too much over this one.
Best of luck to Deontay at WVU. Stay tuned to 11W for more updates as NSD coverage continues.

I was never excited about Caleb or Bradley and McManus gets in line behind Neal and
Diggs. The big prizes out there today are Dodson, Marcus, Neal and Diggs.
Yah we are 0-3 though, not unexpected however, BUT if we miss on Dodson.....I'll be worried OR I'm just used to Tress whiffing on National Signing day and I need to realize Urban is here so I shouldn't fear lol
0-3? Whiffing on signing day? Worried? The staff just got their 24th LOI faxed in.
These guys that are committing elsewhere weren't even't serious bets.
I agree FlipBuckeye, like I said the three weren't people Alex expected to sign anyways, so I'm not worried (especially since Marcus just committed). I'm just hoping Dodson "signs on the line which is dotted". Tress just didn't seem to get many "surprise" commits on signing day hence the "whiffing", maybe should have used a better word (and of course I really just started following recruiting a few years ago).
If you have paid any attention you knew that Bradley was not coming, McManus wasn't even a serious consideration and Caleb was not recruited for the past several weeks by OSU. Hardly anything to be concerned about.
