Clinton never looked away when he said he didn't have relations with that girl. Sosa didn't blink when he forgot how to speak english. Not reading too much into body language. If the rumors are true, he is being forced to lie. Its his only realistic option.

Urban Meyer retired from coaching, then came back the next month, only to retire one year later. While I'd love to have him as our coach, you can't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.

That;s what I've been trying to say since the rumors began popping up immediately after Tressel left. Furthermore, while he is a great coach and I would gladly accept him, if there were any way that you could get someone even 80% of his ability why would you want him? He quit on his team at Florida... Just sayin... If you buy the health stuff then so be it but I don't. If he just wanted to walk away and spend more time with his family, then why didn't he say so in the first place. As I said, I'll gladly take him cuz he is a great coach obviously. I would prefer a Gruden, Pelini, or Dantonio instead though because I am not fearful that they will decide coaching is too stressful and quit in a year or two.

He wasn't going to say oh yeah we've been talking or yes, a deal is in place. Especially, while he's working for his current employer. Without a deal inked no way in hell the guy says he's going to take off for a coaching job in Columbus. Also, typically when a guy is interested in staying put whith his gig he says I'm not interested in coaching anywhere, or I'm happy right where I am.

I might be one of the few, but I would love to have Herbstreit on staff. He would be a major upgrade from Siciliano & I think he would be a great recruiter. He obviously loves the university & I think it would be a great way for him to come home after the way everything happened with the move to Nashville. The only problem I have ever had with him is when he moves us down in the polls after beating Arkansas & when he got in the eighth grade girl cat fight with Pryor. I think he made some mistakes there, but he picks OSU to when the B1G every year & picks them to win almost every week on gameday. I am not really sure what else people want from him. I think this would be a great story & great move for the program & fans to welcome him back.

As a former fatty turned fitness nut, I will say that the one benefit fatness confers on a person is the ability to forgo a coat in winter. Only good thing about blubber.
True story...a few years back I had to do a security rotation on a Naval Air Base. There was a Dept of Defense cop who (swear to God) looked like Fat Bastard. It would be 20* out, and he'd be rolling around with no coat, sweating his ass off. All the Sailors who worked there with me wondered how the hell he could be a cop (strong union). The final straw came when he fell asleep behind the wheel of a unit on patrol and crashed into a few things (namely plane engines) and they put him on a desk job.

Here's what I'm worried about (that I opened an account to ask). Am I remembering this right--didn't Meyer stop coaching at Florida because the pressure was too high and it was taking too much time away from his family? I can't see that sort of thing being better for him here. I've-- very grudgingly-- started to feel better about the possibility of him coming here because of the 11W commentariat, but I don't want a situation where he comes and leaves and the whirlwind starts all over again.
As has probably been pointed out - Matta denied even being a candidate for the OSU coaching job days before he was announced. It would be rude and crude for either OSU or Meyer to announce that he is the next coach whilst Fickell has the reigns.
Yeah, Urbz is just going through the usual process. Saban denied he was taking the Bama job for weeks.
And NOT, EVER before The Game. Anything getting announced can wait till the 27th.
