Oh, who to root for tonight? Is it the team that accused the Buckeyes of stealing their plays in the Rose Bowl? Or is it the team with the $200,000 quarterback (allegedly)? Regardless of who you settle on, you'll likely be watching and your commentary is welcome below.

This hype video makes me want to vomit. It just pisses me off that we have a guy, Terrelle Pryor, who is repeatedly villianized by ESPN, other fanbases, and our own fanbase. Yet LaMichael James and Cam Newton, TWO ACTUAL CRIMINALS, are celebreated constantly with FAR LESS punishment than what Terrelle is recieving.
I'm all for second chances, and Newton and James deserve one if changed, but the contrast is just ridiculous!

Anticipation. Determination. Perfection. I just threw up in my mouth...
F*** YOU HERBIE!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
What did I miss?
Just the drooling over Newton. "He's been through everything. You can't break this kid." etc. etc. Contrast to his "addition by subtraction" and "wreaks of selfish immaturity" comments regarding Terrelle.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Did anyone see the commercial for "Finer Football"? I think TJ Downing is in it.
I hate the SEC, $cam Newton, Chip Kelly and ESPN. I'm playing a drinking game based on how many times I hear "SEC speed" or "Oregon's speedy offense". I have Poison Control on standby for the end of the first quarter.
I'm normally one of those guys who is against "hating" any college athletes. HOWEVER, I can't help it, I'm with you. I hate Newton. I hate how he's guilty, how he knows he's guilty, how he doesn't care that he is guilty, and how he is getting away with being guilty.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
I hate his innocent smile.
I forgot about the smile!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Every image of him off the field is him smiling and cheering with the fans. He really seems to be enjoying himself...probably knows he needs to take it all in while he's eligible.
I hate how I am "looking live at the University of Phoenix Stadium" right now.

Pleasant scenario: Oregon loses by 45.....Media must rethink "explosiveness of Oregon offense" and focus more on "garbage-ness of Pac-10"......Then, two months from now: Cam Newton is declared inelgible in 2010 and National title is stripped.......Win win...........
Played Texas in 2009 in Fiesta Bowl, 2010 Texas plays in National Championship.
Played Oregon in 2010 in Rosw Bowl, 2011 Oregon plays in NC
Oregon has the hottest cheerleaders btw
I'm nearly 100% confident that Lee Corso and the Oregon Duck are gay for each other.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Can't stand the SEC. Can stand Oregon and Kelly even less. Again, at least the SEC had a point in 0-9, and at least some of their teams have some respectable history and tradition. Oregon is all new money, with worse fans than Penn State.
This.
Eh, I think I hate the SEC more because they have at least some point.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
I hate the SEC and I hate that both of the guest hosts are SEC coaches...
I was at the Rose Bowl last year and Oregon fans were cool.
The SEC is on par with Hilter, Bin Laden, Sadam, Tim McVeigh, etc. in terms of pure evil.
Thanks for reminding us that we were embarrassed 4 years ago Urban...
Last chance for me to look stupid: Oregon 38-33.
Maybe just because I can't handle listening to another year of SEC but I'm thinking Oregon 42-34
I'm curious because I try to avoid ESPN when I can...
Has ESPN done a breakdown of what we did in the Rose Bowl last year on defense versus what others have tried (and failed) vs. Oregon?
We stole their signals. ESPN does not condone such lack of integrity.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Oh how could I forget?
Okay...
Was it just me or did I just see a white Auburn fan covered in brown paint with a Cam Newton jersey on?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
is that a serious question? or are you being funny
I took a picture of my screen. Trying to get it up on here as we speak. It looks like it to me...
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Oregon unis... two thumbs down.
I actually like them.
I like them too. Maybe they should stick with this one for a while.
Do you guys know how hard it is going to be for Oregon to beat the SEC??!! I mean it's one team versus a whole conference! Just look at the Bucks...they almost lost to the SEC in the Sugar Bowl. Or did they play Arkansas? I can't remember...
Couldn't decide who I wanted until I saw EA with Chip Kelly. What a jackass.
To be fair she did ask some dumb questions.
Well... who wants to be asked a bunch of stupid questions right before the biggest game in your coaching career?
Here it is:

EDIT: There's the link, but if there is anyway to show the image on this screen can somebody let me know?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
i saw him. i think he's supposed to be the heisman
Hmmm...
I think you're right. Very poor choice if you ask me. That could be interpreted many different ways, hah.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
LOL. I'll go with inappropriate.
Good eye. Those southerners...
Auburn is already cheating to slow down the Ducks!
I think eSECpn will be happy with this outcome. No UofO speed early
Good answer out of the Duck's defense.
Oh sweet jesus....I was going to pull for Oregon (even though I frickin hate them) but then I saw those shoes.....yuck....now mildly pulling for Auburn.....hate for the SEC to win again, but screw Oregon
"THat didn't work out"
Yea, buying stolen laptops and throwing them out of windows generally doesn't work out.
LOL.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
....they look like ducks with carbon-fiber heads....
Keep Calm and Ignore the Trolls.
Oregon dodged a bullet there. THat ball was perfect.
Also, Cam's first incomplete pass on an opening drive this whole year. Eligible or not, that's an impressive stat.
So who took the first 2 drives would end in a punt prop? Could've made a pretty penny
Here's one: I can care less who wins this f*cking game. I won't even watch.
BTW sprained my LCL Saturday and can't run for a f*cking month. F Cam Newton, F Lamichael James, F the NCAA.
"Don't put syrup on shit, and tell me it's pancakes"
No matter how sh*tty the tour is, it's always tough to leave.
F NBC!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Wow I'm impressed. Not to be a dick but you never hear of anyone injuring the LCL. Even in the complete tears it's generally the other 3.
Yep, I'm that amazing!
What do ya'll think Massolli is doing right now?
"Don't put syrup on shit, and tell me it's pancakes"
No matter how sh*tty the tour is, it's always tough to leave.
Players are slipping all over the field. Yikes.
LOL. Herbie was right. His arm is going to be the key.
Is it me or does Kirk always buy into these gimmick offenses, like he did with Rich Rod at WVU?
Kirk buys into whatever ESPN wants him to buy into.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
LOL. SMH.
What an awful throw.
But.......he was confused by that great defense, Kirk says.
It was on a rope... to Harris
In all fairness to the QB's, this game could have and should have been played a week ago.
Dink and dunk. Seems familiar somehow ...
Well folks, we have a defensive struggle.
So far.
I don't like watching this game. I'm being a selfish homer thinking "Buckeye D would've owned him on that play" or "TP would've made a play on that".
And... LOL @ 3rd INT of the game. And people wanted this game for the dueling offenses.
Ohio State 1st half would kill any team in the nation.
Agree.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Even Alabama? That's the one team that looked equally impressive.
does anyone really need that much eye black??
Did Musberger just say that Jeff Blake had a remarkable career?
They don't want Cam going anywhere. All those defenders aren't biting on these PA plays.
Oregon is taking the run up the middle away from Newton. That is where he killed people all year.
This was the year to beat the SEC. Auburn isn't special. They gave up 43 to Arkansas. When was they last time a national champ gave up 40 plus in a game?
Scam newton is getting bent.
Game check must be too small.
....Too soon?....
Keep Calm and Ignore the Trolls.
Perhaps he is thinking ahead.
I'm sure he gets big time compensation for an NC.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Oregon cheerleaders... mmm.
That is a bush league offense.
Why? That's genious.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Yeah, I forgot. Chip Kelly = Super Genius.
We only beat him because we stole his signs.
I didn't say "unstoppable", we clearly found the blueprint to stopping it last year, but that doesn't make it any less genious.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
It isn't genius. It is a gimmick to hide lots of faults. It doesn't work against a well coached defense.
Its gone 10-3 and 12-0 (pending 13-0) in Kelly's two years as head coach. I suppose theirs not a lot of "well coached defenses" in college football then.
The offense actually worked well against our defense for a large part of the Rose Bowl. We just held the ball away from them on offense for so long.
Your dislike/hate is blinding you. I hate Oregon more than you, I can guaruntee that. That is, unless, you have in-laws like I do that are Oregon fans.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Believe me, it is not genius. Wicky Wacky used it with the Bengals in the 80's with limited success.
And yes, I have cousins that went to U of O and OSU so I know about the hated.
Who would've guessed a scoreless first quarter...
It seems to happen all the time. A really hyped up offensive showdown ends up being a battle of the defenses.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Huuuge stop there.
That's gotta be a pick right there.
Man, it's close. Did he maintain possession?
Guess not. To me, he had possession when his elbow hit the ground, then lost it when the rest of his body hit. I would've given it to em.
I'm turning it to the bachelor.
And that's what happens when you get cute, Chip.
That kickoff is why I'm rooting for auburn.. oregon does all this gimmicky BS. I can't stand it, line up and hit someone
I know it's annoying, but only half as annoying as the SEC and ESPN. Problem is other than Fairley who on Auburn is actually going to hit them?
I hate the SEC more than anything on earth. Not a big Oregon fan, but clearly the lesser of two evils this evening.
That touchdown play was slick. And then going for two? Wow.
I hate Chip Kelly as much as the next guy, believe me, but that doesn't make him any less of an amazing football brain.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
CHEESE.
Greedy
i hate chip kelly and the oregon fanbase
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
You know you're in trouble defensively when then kicker and holder can execute the option to perfection.
Ugh, Herbie. Please. I find myself more and more on TP's side in this argument, little as I like it.
TEAM TP!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Whenever someone on ESPN says "speed" I feel like I'm standing in front of the Knights of Ni.
NI!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
TP stiff-arms that fool for another 15.
Funny how he actually has stiff armed that same defender multiple times...
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Or runs out of bounds 1/2 yard short of first down.
Was going to mention that too. But the stiff-arm still happens.
Taylor Martinez TOTALLY would have gotten that first down on 3rd and 15, dude!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Yeah, prolly not.
I'd go for it
That pass looked familiar
You know you really are pissing me off. Why does almost every post of yours have to be some negative refererance to Terrelle?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
who cares? just watch this game with a school that has phil kinght buy the players and a school that pays there players...either we need to find a sugar daddy or start forking out the cash
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
What a throw!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
ya that was a heisman caliber pass ha f scam newton. Great that his daddy can't come watch his sorry ass. what a joke the ncaa is allowing him to still play.
HEISMAN
Good play call but a TP-esque throw.
tp doesn't need good play calls
True dat, sir. Although I'm still a little hard from the PA to TE in the Sugar Bowl.
11-9. What an odd score.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
You can't kick off after a safety...?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Thought that was weird also. Herbie or Brent didn't mention anything about it.
thats what i said
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
You can, but without a tee.
It's a free kick. You can do whatever you want. Kicking wise.
I hope this awful game doesnt go to overtime.
More slipping. Someone's going to have the heads of whoever did the groundwork on the field.
they just put in new turf it can't be rooted in 3 or 4 days.
Wow. Oregon D. Derp.
Think Marcus Freeman could shed some light on how to defend that play?
16-11. Score still weird.
hey we got mentioned!
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
The only way ESPN knows how.
+1,000,000
Funny how Kirk leaves out the whole Teddy Ginn getting injured part.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Of course Musberger mentions the Ohio State-Florida game.
I was like, "what the f*ck does this have to do with anything?". ESPN just prompted him to mention it.
Musberger/herbie/EsecPN couldn't resist bringing it up
LoL erin andrews inventing injuries so that she makes an appearance in the first half.
haha. I was thinking the same thing.
Auburn= dirtiest motherf***** in the NCAA.
How was he not tossed? To Chizik's credit, he did seem to notice what actually happened
Eh - don't think what Musbie said about '07 was a "dig" at all. That game was the last BCSCG played in this stadium. Sucks, but relevant.
Something has to be done about the 6 weeks off. It is robbing us of a well played game.
Stanford and Ohio State's offenses seemed fine, and neither the Pac-10 or Big-10 had a conference championship to extend their season. Seems like poor coaching and lack of preparation to me.
Game is so bad they couldnt find a good hands play
This game has not been that bad.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Not sure how many of you remember mid-Ohio hoops stars from the 90s, but thought this was pretty funny:
http://twitter.com/#!/Jared_Sully0/status/24668341033508865
That is awesome. I was on the All Ohio squad, on the younger team when Ban was on the older team. I can say for certain he won't be earning any phD's, but dude could flat BALL!
(RIP Coach Bruce Howard)
They don't realize Big 10 refs don't put up with any exta cirriculars
How many more personal fouls for Fairley before Chizik stops defending him?
about 180K
Those receivers sure seem to be open deep a lot
ya this could be a 2 score game
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
That was rather unpleasant, for Eddy Pleasant
That's two scores Oregon dodged by Auburn mistakes.
The sponsor for the game is the University of Phoenix, the online university whose football program doesn't exist. When it does, though, they'll still have higher academic standards than Auburn.
http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2011/1/10/1919015/2011-bcs-championship-game-oregon-auburn-football-preview-national-title
is it me of does chip kelly seem to call the same place twice before moving on
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
play*
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
and it just burnt him.. turn over on dns
he seems arrogant
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
tell oregon when you hold up large signs that have four pictures on them, the other team is gonna easily figure out on the film what the play is
"I like to kick Michigan's ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum."
Once again, Musberger calling TD early came back to bite him...
HAHA
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
FINALLY, we have a pre-meditated "TOUCHDOWN!" from Brent.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Hey Brent, the one player that plays the LEAST on the Bears' d-line is the one from the SEC.
The Vikings, who have a widely regarded top tier d-line have zero SEC players on it.
The Lions have one SEC player. Out of those 3 teams that's 2 SEC players, both of which are backups. You know who else has 2 players on those 3 teams? Arkansas State.
Yea but it was said live on ESPN. It must be fact
Best D in the NFL has no SEC defensive linemen.
But the coordinator is a Buckeye.
Stillers baby woot Woot!
Well it looks like tomorrows excuse from Oregon will be Auburn figured out our signals. Just like how Ohio State cheated last year. I don't want an SEC team to win but im going to laugh at who ever loses very hard.
oregon got downs
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
Im thinking that in reality Darron Thomas is no better than Jeremiah Masoli
No I agree. Maybe a bit quicker, but Masoli (and Blount) brought some toughness that they could use right now
100% agree.. thomas just puts up gaudy numbers against weak and slow defenses
that duck is gay
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
TCU would get my vote for #1. I hope the AP splits the vote at the least.
I Was thinking the same thing. Neither of these teams look like the best team in the country.
Stanford vs. TCU for the real title?
oregon beat stanford
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
Yeah but I'd take the Stanford team that played at the end of the year over both of these teams. Also I think Stanford was up 21-3 at one point in that game.
Sneaky Fast= White Boy Speed. Heard he has an unbelievable motor
Cam Newton fumbling the game away?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
not if thomas has something to do with it
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
HEISMAN
I LOL'd.
I don't care who you are. If you're hurt - take yourself out of the damn game. Don't be a hero. Newton got drilled on that 3rd down scramble on the last drive and has been in pain since.
He's Cam Newton, mortals cannot hurt him...
Does Oregon only run 4 plays? Read option, speed option, out to Maehl in the flat, and that occasional deep ball.
yes...chip kelly is such a mastermind
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
Run them fast enough and apparently you can confuse people.
All of the sudden my attention shifts fully to this game...
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Yeaaaaa Big 10 Umpire making the play!!!
Looks like he got his hip into that one. Nice!
This team SUCKS on the goal line.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
how dare you sir?
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
No power running
its really unfortunate that someone has to win this game...
+1
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
I can see the nervous on Newton's face.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Unreal game. No qualms about staying up late for this one.
its only 9:00 oclock over here!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Seriously though, am I the only one who sees an unconfident and nervous Cam Newton trotting onto the field?
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
wow
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
WOAH!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
This looks about the same as the play in the sugar bowl
The Duck fans at Addicted to Quack aren't going to like this if upheld. They've bitched about the officials all game.
Officials have called a great game.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
I agree 110%. But they don't see it that way.
I feel like Auburn has gotten away with a ton of holds. Maybe that's just me.
I feel like both teams have gotten away with holds.
I think it's going to stand.
They should play some Tresselball... run it up, let them burn their last timeout and kick a FG at 0:00.
Let them score if you're Oregon?
no way!! how deserving
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
Oregon scorched up the middle all night.
Hard to overturn that.
Scratch that... doesn't look like he made it. Which works out for them.
Dyer is MVP?
Thomas has some boogers.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Block.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Shhh...
Better team won
Good 4th qtr.
Classic game it was not.
Yeah the guys at ESPN better not call this an instant classic........it was a sloppy game.
suck it chip...auburn steal you plays too?
"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes
Darron Thomas is awfully jubilant. I'm all for being a class act to your opponent but don't be happy.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Well, Auburn tried really hard to choke it away, but before they did, I just liked watching these big softies from Eugene get torn up by real, athletic fronts on both sides of the ball. Just like last year. Up until they tried to give it all away, I suppose.
I also like that they finally called holding on the Ducks. First time all season, it seems.
Couldn't ask for a better ending. Oregon loses. Auburn wins unimpressively.
Awful game.
There are a few teams out there watching this feeling like they could've whooped some ass tonight.
What made the difference between last year and this year? About 200k
/GETTIN'PAID!
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
I feel sick...Now we have to continue to hear about the almighty SEC.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
We don't.
We beat Arkansas, and that win still hasn't worn off.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Win or lose, we were going to anyway. I'm telling ya, no one cares that we one either, I've already had people say 1-9. There's really no comeback for that, it just doesn't sound as bad as 0-10.
G to G chizik.. good to grand; 200 grand.
Still say there are 20 coaches I'd rather have than Chizik
Malzahn, not so much.
Malzahn would definitely be in those 20
Top 5.
The game was lost by OR audibles at the goal line. Every time they audibled they got stuffed. The last play that was run on a quick snap got into the zone. If they stick to their game they win by 7 or better. Terrible coaching. Maybe now the haters will appreciate JT a little more.
Over/Under on how long until this championship is vacated?
Over/Under on longer than the Reggie Bush case?
18 months +/- 6 months.
can anyone clarify the wrist = down rule? it was called in the sugar bowl, and i figured it would get overturned during the replay. i found a pretty clear shot here:
http://30fps.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/2011-January-11-0-2-50.jpeg
one person claims that the back of the wrist has to be down in order for the play to be called dead. anyone know the rule?
Don't know the college rule, but after many years of HS coaching, the back of the wrist needs to be down. The problem with the front of the wrist is that is almost impossible to tell if it was the hand or the wrist down. Officials usually look for the forearm to make contact if the hand is palm down.
hmm, that does make sense. thanks for the clarification!
When can we start cueing the "Oregon can't win the big one" meme? Or is that going to start around the same time the Oklahoma one did?
-ohwait
As long as they have those cheerleaders, they'll always be welcome in a big game.
Very underwhelming game. May go down as a classic by score and stat sheet, but those who watched know better. Sloppy, turnover-ridden 1st quarter, followed by a complete collapse by the Oregon secondary in the 2nd quarter. The Oregon running game was nowhere to be found. Auburn just did enough not to lose, but were not mistake free.
Just a blah game. I feel that Ohio State would crush both teams, and that there's no way Fairley actually qualified to attend a 4-year university in this country.
One of if not thee most boring championship games ever.
I feel like TCU or Stanford would dominate either of these two.
Regardless a playoff is needed.
I hear what you're saying, but Stanford had its chance and was waxed by Oregon.
oh i know, that's why i put in the part about a playoff.
TCU can definitely beat this Auburn team
Hey Gene, If the NCAA appeal doesn't go well, how about playing in Hawaii, the last week in August? That way we have all of our guys back for the Big Ten opener! USC did it this past season, what the hell? I'd go!
That is a great suggestion!!!!!!
I saw nothing in this game that led me to believe that either of these would've beat tOSU. Last year the Ducks were averaging 37 PPG and we held them to 19. This year they were averaging 47 PPG and got held to 19. Very underwhelming performances by both teams.
ALL I SAW WAS SPEED!!!
I guess my TV was in Slo-Mo
