The Dubcasts' Luke and Johnny turn their attention to recruiting (after the precursory necessary brief lip service to college basketball's best bunch). 11W's recruiting guru Alex hops on to discuss what's what with but a week to go to college football's biggest holiday until play kicks off next September. The boys are then joined by Bucknuts.com and ESPN Insider's Bill Kurelic, the midwest region recruiting expert, to talk about perhaps a dark horse name to be mindful of in the class as well as how he feels Tressel did relative to OSU's needs. Finally, CBSSports.com's Bryan Fischer hops on board to discuss more happenings around the Big Ten, Midwest, and finally whether Ohio State's equipped for even greater things with this class in tow. Go big or go home... And either way, listen to the podcast.

As a follow up...hearing Aundrey Walker and Shane Wynn to U$C.....these guys should know L.A. is a cool place to party and spend a week on vacation (or weekend for official visit), but Big Drey will regret this in 2 years....anything can happen next Wednesday, but a "sure-fire" Buckeye may now end up picking Kiffykins
USC just got a commitment from Cyrus Hobbi (#1 OG by ESPN). Don't know if that affects anything...
Because that worked out so well for the last guy who picked $C over Ohio State... Oh that's right it didn't!
Yeah, it's a little weird that anyone would want to go to USC right now with the whole "no bowl this year" and sanctions, but Walker may just want to go somewhere so he can be with his friend Wynn and if the Buckeyes aren't offering Wynn...
I also think it is odd this talk of maybe taking Cardale when we don't need another QB, even if he does grayshirt. Not to mention OSU is eyeing a kid in the 2012 class from California. I'm not saying we should take Wynn (especially if he is Ghost 2.0), but at least that is a position of some need (particularly if we don't get Story).
This is why I never believe anything about recruiting until the LOI's are faxed in.
Also, Glenville kids are kind of getting on my nerves these days. Don't get me wrong, Troy, Teddy, Browning and others have been great for the Buckeyes, but we've also have guys who have had trouble qualifying, guys who never live up to their billing like Small, and guys that once they get here can't seem to stay elligible. Then there are guys we don't get like Latwaan. Don't get me wrong, they have a ton of extremely talented kids, but it seems like the last few years they have produced a lot of problem children too.
The Buckeyes need at least one more offensive lineman year...slightly short on depth.

Take it FWIW but this Story thing is not over. Per his facebook:
WHY ARE WE YELLING
JAMES LOUIS THINKS THAT FACEBOOK UPDATE IS PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE.
He needs some hyphens to go with all those apostrophes.
Awesome. I know for a fact that God is a huge Buckeye fan.
But God told Urban to tell Shariff Floyd to play at Florida. And His only son is a two time bcs champion, winner of the heisman and died for our sins.
The "Meyer heard from God" thing is probably a myth, and it's just as well. I love God too much to see Him mixed up with Urban.
BUT URBY WAS NAMED AFTER ZE POPE!
Taquitos.
Well Tressel does wear a w.w.j.d braclet.
Long-snapper Bryce Haynes has committed to the Buckeyes! The perfect Tress player.
Clowney and Story would offset losing Walker and Wynn. : )
"We have a quarterback, obviously, that's kind of ridiculous running the ball." - Urban Meyer
Offset? That would be insane if we got Clowney and Story. Story I think might happen but Clowney would shock me.
