I'm hoping Tressel didn't overplay the revenge motif this week. It didn't work for Texas against UCLA, nor did it work for Nebraska against Texas.
Just get out there, pound the ball, keep TP's jersey clean on passing downs, and contain Purdue's offense. We should beat these guys by three touchdowns, but I won't count on us actually doing so.

I'm pretty much over the whole Buckeye love for Dantonio thing. He's basically curmudgeonly-Lloyd-Carr-in-Green-and-White, except Dantonio coached under Tressel and Carr didn't. Again, Dantonio's continued success coupled with Tressel's clamping down on this team in big games and opening them up in blow out games does nothing but keep the Buckeyes out of the Rose Bowl. I've been rooting for Sparty to lose since the MSU-Michigan game and I will continue to do so. Very frustrating that we don't get a shot at them this year.
I personally don't give a shit about Dantonio. I think he's a good to above average coach. He's a super Defensive Coordinator. I think he did a meh job at Cincy and Brian Kelly was the real savior in Cincy. I think Michigan State drops 2 this season, I just don't know where they come from.
But he names his plays after 'Little Giants' and 'Mouse Trap'. That's funny, especially his boyish delivery.

I think Kelly would've never reached the heights he did at Cincy if it weren't for Dantonio. Kelly's first BCS team that lost to Va Tech was there because of defense, one that Dantonio built, not Kelly. I think Kelly was one of the more over rated coaches out there. He had a good QB and great receivers last year, with a gimmick system that worked in the Big East, and against Fresno State. A bad Illinois team almost picked them off last year.

Exactly, like last year, assuming that Michigan State loses all of its remaining games and finishes 4-4 in the Big 10, allowing the Buckeyes to go to the Rose Bowl.
