Hoping to see Chappell's OH NOES face today.
KICKOFF 12:00PM ET
FAVORITE Ohio State (-23.5)
TELEVISION ESPN
RADIO: OSU Football Affiliates
WEATHER Gorgeous

Christian Bryant is ready for his baptism by fire. He'll have to be as the secondary will spend the better part of three hours chasing huge Hoosier receivers all over the field. If they get some help from the Buckeye pass rush, which they should, this one could over relatively quickly.  If not, we could be in for a less-than-comfortable afternoon.

On a tech note, we bumped up the comments/page setting, so you'll no longer have to deal with comments spanning multiple pages in these open threads. So, have at it!

Johnny Ginter's picture

WHAT A CUT BY BOOM

BuckeyeChief's picture

Are we the only 2 here cause everyone else is at the game?

"Clutch has no boundaries"

poguemahone's picture

I only just realized this was a noon game

flipbuckeye's picture

Great vision and cuts by Boom on that run.

Chas's picture

Really proud of the way boom has elevated his game in the face of so much criticism

Chas's picture

We're gonna have to hit chappelle...getting close but keeping him three step drops

poguemahone's picture

Hey guys, remember the "soft zone"?  lolz

I missed a down or two, but it looked like we were playing press coverage on every down.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Damn. Nice play by the DB.

"Clutch has no boundaries"

Johnny Ginter's picture

wow that was one hell of a pbu

poguemahone's picture

Did Boom miss a hole on that TFL?

flipbuckeye's picture

That was an armpunt if I've ever seen one.

Johnny Ginter's picture

hahah what in the hell was that

flipbuckeye's picture

Ugh please don't risk injury Pryor...

Johnny Ginter's picture

holy hell zach boren

poguemahone's picture

Spielman really deserves better billing at ESPN than this. He's a better CFB analyst than just about anyone else out there.

Johnny Ginter's picture

he deserves better than having to share air time with bob greise

BuckeyeChief's picture

Yep.

"Clutch has no boundaries"

Roger's picture

Agree, love me some Spielman.

Johnny Ginter's picture

my favorite thing is him just repeating everything someone else says

Johnny Ginter's picture

getting good d-line pressure

poguemahone's picture

Pass rush is much more active than it has been these last couple weeks.

Roger's picture

I love how Saine is so fast he gets to the return man on the 10 yard line but then remembers that he's never done a tackling drill.

iball's picture

Pretty solid showing around the table so far. Don't think TP is even thinking run.

Bryant starting as a true will do wonders for recruiting.

poguemahone's picture

He's been much better this year, but he earned that nick last year fo sho

poguemahone's picture

Someone tell Taurian this isn't the Spring Game

BuckeyeChief's picture

HOLY CRAP T-WASH CAUGHT IT!!!

"Clutch has no boundaries"

flipbuckeye's picture

BOREN LOL!!! AWESOME!

Johnny Ginter's picture

ahahahahahahahahasudhidvboeivievjn]ok2-03ir29ru

flipbuckeye's picture

THAT WAS AWESOME HAHAHA

flipbuckeye's picture

You might as well hang up your pads if you get hurdled by a FB.

poguemahone's picture

I guess we're making up for all the false starts we didn't have in the first few weeks

poguemahone's picture

GO FOR IT

WHY SO CONSERVATIVE TRESS

BuckeyeChief's picture

REally another block? Holy God our Special Teams suck!

"Clutch has no boundaries"

poguemahone's picture

Well, that was our first major breakdown in a few weeks. They've been improving quietly.

flipbuckeye's picture

LOL @ that Baylor v Texas Tech TD return.

Johnny Ginter's picture

haha that baylor clip

Johnny Ginter's picture

rolle and nate having a great day

flipbuckeye's picture

Nathan Williams lives in the backfield.

Johnny Ginter's picture

hands up if you weren't confident that bob was going to add "...in the armor" to the end of that sentence

Buckeyebrowny919's picture

Surprise surprise its a blocked field goal surprise......ugh

To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift - Steve Prefontaine

JakeBuckeye's picture

The two field goals that we have had blocked were both 50 yards or more and were kicked by Drew Basil. Time to stop trying those.

Johnny Ginter's picture

good lord penn state is terrible

poguemahone's picture

The OL is giving Pryor oodles of time on passing downs

Johnny Ginter's picture

i always mix up the corey browns

BuckeyeChief's picture

ZOOM!

"Clutch has no boundaries"

flipbuckeye's picture

Nice pass and catch.  SAINE IS A WR!

tampa buckeye's picture

Tressel is reading this site.  Amazing what this offense can be with 1st down passing and saine in the slot.

tampa buckeye's picture

This defense is pretty piss poor.  Wide open receivers and all day to throw.

Buckeyebrowny919's picture

Don't look now...illinois up 14-3

To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift - Steve Prefontaine

Joe Beale's picture

Guys, I think we've found our 3rd receiver.

poguemahone's picture

The defensive line and secondary are putting on a clinic right now

flipbuckeye's picture

I'd say.  Indiana could probably end the game with negative yards on the ground.  Currently at -1, and 33 yards of offense overall.

iball's picture

Gotta get #3 some smaller shoulder pads.

“There’s one thing I have learned through all my adventures and conquests - it’s that some people are just wired for success. I had no choice when it came to being great - I just am great.” – Kenny Powers

Johnny Ginter's picture

that run was completely the fault of the o-line

Kennywayne34's picture

Robots are taking over the world man. Lol Spielman

iball's picture

Its blitz Pryor time.

“There’s one thing I have learned through all my adventures and conquests - it’s that some people are just wired for success. I had no choice when it came to being great - I just am great.” – Kenny Powers

Johnny Ginter's picture

i think the hoosiers figured out pryor isnt running anywhere

flipbuckeye's picture

So this is what it's like not having a mobile QB...

Powers's picture

the drive was doomed right after the crack back penalty

poguemahone's picture

Alright, don't accept it then

poguemahone's picture

I'm just saying, if it's "unacceptable", feel free to refuse accepting it. It happened.

Roger's picture

HUMOR HAS NO PLACE ON THE INTERWEBS!!

Johnny Ginter's picture

ohio state has 36 yards on the ground and 39 of those yards (yes, really) came on boom's td run

Johnny Ginter's picture

hmm they're gonna review that

Joe Beale's picture

Great interception!

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Ross Homan with the assist like John Stockton

Joe Beale's picture

That's a legal catch.

flipbuckeye's picture

God bless Ross Homan's toe.

Johnny Ginter's picture

woop, like that run

Johnny Ginter's picture

agh okay that one was boom's fault

BuckeyeChief's picture

Sometimes our line sucks.

"Clutch has no boundaries"

poguemahone's picture

It doesn't help that backs aren't seeing the holes when they're there

Johnny Ginter's picture

yeah that was bad

poguemahone's picture

Well, at least we can pass this year

BuckeyeChief's picture

When was the last time our running game was this bad in contrast to our passing game?

"Clutch has no boundaries"

Joe Beale's picture

That was a pretty pass.

Johnny Ginter's picture

nice pick and roll by the ref on that run

Johnny Ginter's picture

seriously guys, nate williams is playing like a madman with cam being double teamed on every play

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

What am i going to do the week of November 6 I guess Cincinnati Bengals game

poguemahone's picture

lol Simon in space

Johnny Ginter's picture

there is literally no reason for bob to be in the booth at all

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Torrence Has to be are best corner i don't care about those picks chekwa had against miami

poguemahone's picture

Nope. OL getting no push.

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

T-Wash a multiple catch game somebody pinch me

Johnny Ginter's picture

its kind of baffling how good the o-line is at pass blocking and how bad they are at run blocking

BuckeyeChief's picture

agreed

"Clutch has no boundaries"

Johnny Ginter's picture

pom pom monster next to buckiron man nice

KCAlum's picture

This is one of those games where the band splits up into groups and plays various places in the stadium to keep the crowd entertained

flipbuckeye's picture

31-0 at the half, how's that for style points, ESPN?

AJ's picture

help me out...we put up 31 in one half and hold the same team that put up 35 to michigan to zero so far yet we still arent ready to take on "the big boys" of alabama and oregon?

"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes

JakeBuckeye's picture

Well, Michigan just isn't good. That's really a bad measuring stick, a horrible one.

That's not to say that I don't think we'd be able to take on Alabama and Oregon. I think we could.

Johnny Ginter's picture

well we still have basically zero running game

AJ's picture

ya i understand that, but i think our D is about as good as it gets considering the injuries.  I just cant wrap my mind around the thinking of some of the "experts"...mark may makes me hate myself

"Without winners, there wouldn't even be civilization." -----------Woody Hayes

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

How long until we see Braxton Miller I mean Kenny Guiton, and Berry, and where is Hankins at

JakeBuckeye's picture

I may get torched for this, but I want to see the starters in on offense for at least one or two drives after half time.

I'll admit, I want to see TP throw for 300+ yards. I think that would be great for him and this team.

Johnny Ginter's picture

nah, a couple of drives is reasonable, add on another score and then pull em

poguemahone's picture

Keep the passes quick so Pryor isn't  a sitting duck back there and that's not so bad

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Lou Holtz just said something smart for once about Michigan and Ohio State

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater's picture

Watching with my 10 year old son, and every time Holtz talks he says "What is wrong with that guy?  He can't talk.  It's annoying".

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater's picture

Absolutely, get Pryor his 300, then get him out.    Special teams so far have been very solid against Dos returning kicks.   And seems like Basil is getting the ball higher and deeper than he has all year (excepting wind aided kicks).   I expect a whole bunch of running in the second half.

poguemahone's picture

Personally, I hope Jordan Hall gets some more looks in the second half

poguemahone's picture

Penn State fans boo their team every week it seems

Scott K's picture

Our O line are playing like a bunch of panssies, and I can see that with a bad stream here in the Indian Himalaya.  Pass blocking is technique and finesse.  Run blocking is for men: smash mouth football.  There aren't many men on our line today, and the pass blocking has been suspect.  Also, hope Lil Boren isn't hurt too bad...we've had enough injuries already....

"There's a fine line between stupid, and....clever.  David St. Hubbins/Nigel Tufnel

Joe Beale's picture

Zach came back into the game after his injury, unnoticed by the announcers.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Whatcha doing there? The K isn't for Kern is it?

"Clutch has no boundaries"

chaoscrusader's picture

Being at the game, three things to note.
Shugarts is hobbling on bad ankle
Despite the vanilla run plays, rcvr & backs are tipping the call.
Chappel is staring down his rcvrs, should have another pick this half.

Joe Beale's picture

Not to jinx the team, but it looks like the kick coverage problems are solved.

Joe Beale's picture

Torrence bidding for the Tatum award.

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Torrence Best player on our D besides Heyward

Johnny Ginter's picture

gah so was that one

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Pryor looked one way than looked to the left threw it to Posey on a line

Joe Beale's picture

Not that I'm wishing bad things for IU, but it's nice to see the other guys getting hurt for a change.

Run_Fido_Run's picture

Ref, give it up, you're not going to be able to do enough to get Indy to cover the spread. Cut your losses.

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

Hyde may have power but can he hold on to the ball

Buckeyebrowny919's picture

Berry is rugged...hyde just allowed really the only blemish of this game...

To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift - Steve Prefontaine

Run_Fido_Run's picture

A good "teaching moment" for the young man, though. Of course, he won't see the field for 2 weeks now . . .

Run_Fido_Run's picture

Illinois is taking PSU's manhood.

KINGOFDAMIDDIE's picture

He wasn't going to see the field next week anyways

Run_Fido_Run's picture

Let's watch the last 5 minutes to see how far the refs are willing to go for the cover . . .

Yep, flag down . . . right . . .
