"Damn I miss El Guapo"

BuckeyeChief's picture

Blew off an offer to go to a friend of a friend's house....had to board up before the storm!

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

VBBuckeye's picture

Boarding up? That thing isn't coming here... We had worse in Nov. during the noreaster! Luckily I have BTN and my sat isn't gonna go out since the "storm" is still a ways off.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Yeah, but the Nor'Easter f'd up my carpets...over by Honey Bee...just wanted to be sure this time! Gotta replace the doors soon. You running Sunday by any chance?

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

InTresselWeTrust's picture

Rofl. Thats one way to start!

Poe McKnoe's picture

Dorian Bell sure made an impact during his first 5 seconds on the field.

Jason Priestas's picture

TRYING... NOT... to let... my emotions get... the better of me. Impossible...

Damn do we look good. I know it's Marshall, but we're punking Marshall like we're supposed to do.

TLB's picture

At least they will get paid well.

InTresselWeTrust's picture

Going to be getting quite a bit of experience for the younger guys.

Chris Lauderback's picture

I knew we'd come out agressive but this is sick. 3 first down plays, 3 first down throws. love it.

TLB's picture

I don't like that.

Poe McKnoe's picture

I like that.

Man up KO coverage team.

TLB's picture

That was as good of a throw as he's ever done.

TLB's picture

And follows it up with and awful throw.

Joe Beale's picture

Heyward needs to stay on his feet to get that sack.

OSUStu's picture

I think there was a trip on that play

BuckeyeChief's picture

Finally got it!

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

BuckeyeChief's picture

Horrible pass

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

TLB's picture

Who is doing the color for this game?

Joe Beale's picture

Chris Martin.  He's a BTN regular.

TLB's picture

That didn't go as planned.

Joe Beale's picture

Well that sucked.

TLB's picture

That has to be fixed and soon.

Poe McKnoe's picture

Good blocking...reminds me of LSU.  Except it's Marshall.

Jason Priestas's picture

We're going to need to get that fixed before next week.

Natty Light's picture

wow that was boren that got pushed back on the FG line but he got hit square by 2 people...the tackle should have been in closer

InTresselWeTrust's picture

Only reason for being so aggravated by that is b/c it was one of those horrid decisions from last year, repeating just now by TP. Hope thats just a fluke.

Chris Lauderback's picture

same old, same old on special teams....did get a KO fumble recovery but since we've given up a big return, a fg block for a TD and a partially blocked extra point. ridiculous.

Joe Beale's picture

Also we had bad holds on both of the first two EP's.  JB needs to clean it up.

OSUStu's picture

Ugh. I new I was worried about the kicking game for a reason. A very fortuante bounce for them though

Poe McKnoe's picture

Good start...crumbling.

Poe McKnoe's picture

And by crumbling I mean TD Sanz.

BuckeyeChief's picture

NICE!!!

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

TLB's picture

Still looking for that IMPLOSION!

Joe Beale's picture

That was much better.  More, please.

gbm's picture

Not Happy. Car broke and can't go to the bar. BTN isn't streaming the game. BTN has a huge banner running through the screen after about the third play in the play by play screen. Any other suggestions?

BuckeyeChief's picture

Use the channel surfing link above, password is sports

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Joe Beale's picture

Skype with a friend who's watching the game?

TLB's picture

JustinTV might have it

DAVE's picture

Nice Moeller!

Poe McKnoe's picture

John Simon scared my TV.

Joe Beale's picture

How about 199 yards total offense in the first quarter?  Pryor is 7-11, 130 yards, and 2 TD's.  Not a bad start.

TLB's picture

We gotta get those corners a step closer, I think.

flipbuckeye's picture

I badly need a stream. Ugh should've just stayed at the gym which has BTN...

flipbuckeye's picture

Found one...

Click the game link on atdhe.net, and password is "sports".

BuckeyeChief's picture

How is the stream quality?

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

gbm's picture

Thank you to everyone who tried to help and thank you to FlipBuckeye. Awsome, First smile on my face all day.

Michael's picture

In regards to the FG block for a TD, isn't there supposed to be a one second grace period for the snapper on any scrimmage kick?

Poe McKnoe's picture

Only if you saw the 2006 Ohio State Michigan game.

Natty Light's picture

think it's until he picks his head up...but they didn't really hit him...the 2 DTs on that side hit boren and the inside one went over the top

TLB's picture

Uh..........can you ever imagine us playing at Middle Tennessee State?

Joe Beale's picture

We played Youngstown State.

TLB's picture

But we were not AT Y-Town State

Jason Priestas's picture

Harris 11/14 for 118 and 3TD for Miami in 1st

BuckeyeChief's picture

Good stats, but I think Marshall is a wee bit better than FAMU.

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Natty Light's picture

lol at torrence...what was that?  and checkwa is not as good as anyone has seen in 1 on 1 coverage, announcer

TLB's picture

Ok.  The pass defense is an issue.  But we may not be showing much.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Special team as well.

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Poe McKnoe's picture

Solomon Thomas is not bringing it on Saturday...errr Thursday.

Michael's picture

Defense is looking awfully porous right now.

TLB's picture

Carissa has a wonderful overbite.

Joe Beale's picture

No Charissa, he did not "get into an altercation".  That thug just walked up and clocked him.

BuckeyeChief's picture

+1

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

TLB's picture

Line looked good on that play.

Joe Beale's picture

lol...TW still has a case of the drops.

Poe McKnoe's picture

TWASH BALLS...He better get used to that bench.

OSUStu's picture

Okay. How many different receivers has pyror hit?

Joe Beale's picture

Posey, Dane, Stoney, Schwartz, Saine, and T-Wash's hands.

OSUStu's picture

Pretty pretty good

Ha. It never gets old.

TLB's picture

Line looked good again.

TLB's picture

Did I say that?

BuckeyeChief's picture

Christ TP is on fire!

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Joe Beale's picture

Brandon Saine got through that line faster than Rosie O'Donnell gets through a bag of chips.

Ian_InsideTheShoe's picture

Stopping in to say that was an INSAINE run.

Alright I'll stop XD

flipbuckeye's picture

That last TD run was all O line.

That said, Saine already over 100 yards.  I like a solid RB corps but this guy is very obviously our feature back.

Nik's picture

did they say gainesboro?

TLB's picture

Guess that wasn't an obvious call.

Nik's picture

damn! justintv went out for that play, came back while we were lined up for PAT

flipbuckeye's picture

Meanwhile, Miami is lighting up Florida A&M 35-0 at the half.

BuckeyeChief's picture

So I am assuming it's time for Kenny G and the second team?

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

TLB's picture

Not yet.  Let them come out for at least 1 series to open the half.

BuckeyeChief's picture

When was the last time we where up 35-7 at the half?

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Jason Priestas's picture

Led New Mexico State 28-0 at the half last season, but you have to go back to Northwestern in '07 to find a better start: 45-0 at the half.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Nice!

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

BuckeyeChief's picture

Do you want me to try and get you a USS New York coin? I owe a Chief there one from my last ship (got one for a Marine buddy of mine) and she lives down the street.

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

Jason Priestas's picture

Only if it's not going to be too much trouble. Are you going to be able to make the Miami tailgate next week?

Also, I stand corrected re: last time we were up this much at half -- up 35-0 on Kent St a few games after that Northwestern tilt in '07.

BuckeyeChief's picture

Can't make it, daughter's b-day is the next day...seems they schedule the big OOC game every year the week of her b-day...man that has gotten me into some trouble.

I'll work on it next week, e-mail me an address to mail it to...I'll include my command's coin as well.

"Damn I miss El Guapo"

tampa buckeye's picture

moeller and hines good

Travis Howard is not there yet

Could have another td or two if the first team O played the entire half

Johnny Ginter's picture

tyler moeller...

TLB's picture

That's Quad Script Ohio's, Jackwagon

Johnny Ginter's picture

boomy boom boom i love boom

Kennywayne34's picture

Lol Pryor lowering shoulder on 250 lb linebackers

Jason Priestas's picture

Two backs with a hundred would be nice.

Kennywayne34's picture

Kenny G time. Sound the sax

Nik's picture

wow, they weren't kidding about how much TP has progressed this offseason

InTresselWeTrust's picture

+1 to Johnny.

Pryor has those moments of such precision. It's going to be a beautiful thing if those moments are frequent this year.

Jason Priestas's picture

I know it's Marshall, but it's hard not to be excited about Pryor right now. Had the first "oh crap, what if he does leave after three" thought ever just after that TD.

flipbuckeye's picture

Right.  I know it's way way way way WAAAAY too early and just Marshall, but this offense has that 2006 swagger...

Jason Priestas's picture

Let's meet again next week to reevaluate!

Johnny Ginter's picture

he looks absurdly good right now, the only bad decision was that dumb sexy rexy chuck downfield but other than that he's been a genius

Jason Priestas's picture

That was a total Sexy Rexy throw. Good call.

tampa buckeye's picture

Is this finally the team that avg. 200 passing and 200 rushing with 40 points

Joe Beale's picture

OSU has 371 total yards to 101 for Marshall.  Pryor is 13-20 for 206 yards and 3 TD's.

flipbuckeye's picture

Honestly, 101 for Marshall is kind of disappointing.

Nik's picture

seriously man, if I were playing on NCAA '11 they'd be held under 0 yards, lol

TLB's picture

Moellered Up

TLB's picture

Soft zone with no blitzing.  Showing nothing.  Has nothing to do with fatigue and attrition

TLB's picture

Nik's picture

well, that and poor open-field tackles

gbm's picture

Solomon is way to slow off the ball. Has no burst.

Joe Beale's picture

Somebody notify Brian Anderson's next of kin.

OSUStu's picture

Wonderful!

jim tressel has got to work on his gum chewing or we are going to get schooled next year

Nik's picture

it's mesmerizing!  so much raw power, lol

OSUStu's picture

Did Gene Smith just almost say he knows his shit?

TLB's picture

That was a nice play by Pryor.

Joe Beale's picture

I never doubted you Johnny.

TLB's picture

I hope our starting O-Line stays intact.

Nik's picture

need to get the second team in there, don't want any injuries

poguemahone's picture

I'm thinking the same thing. I'll be a little miffed if Pryor's out there to start the drive after this, regardless of how this one ends.

Nik's picture

woah, i didn't realize you were staff here now, that's awesome

poguemahone's picture

Yep, Nik. I've only been part of the politburo for about a month now, though, so no worries

gbm's picture

Come on now, it's Heisman stat time...did I just knock on wood?

InTresselWeTrust's picture

Hot as fish grease? Did I hear that correctly?

TLB's picture

Fish Grease?

Johnny Ginter's picture

is fish grease really hot or something? hotter than regular grease?

Nik's picture

hotter than Bob Griese?

DAVE's picture

Nah, he's out getting a taco.

Johnny Ginter's picture

HE'S HOTTER THAN A WOOD STOVE USING GENUINE VERMONT PINE

Jason Priestas's picture

Now that we stopped the Big Ten's plans, it's time to move on to another target: Ohio Stadium folks are going around with a mic during TV timeouts and saying, "Okay fans, which section is the loudest. Let us hear you."

Welcome to the NBA.

TLB's picture

It's Marshall and it's late.

Johnny Ginter's picture

phhiiilllyyyyyyyy

poguemahone's picture

Bauserman first one off the bench. Surprising.

flipbuckeye's picture

Less Bauser moar jazz.

Nik's picture

really?  Bauserman?  what the hell happened to Kenny G?

tampa buckeye's picture

J Hall time I guess.  Would love to see Berry

Nik's picture

ask and you shall receive

tampa buckeye's picture

There we go with berry finally

Joe Beale's picture

*whew*  ....the FG is not blocked.

tampa buckeye's picture

Clark will be a star mark it down.

tampa buckeye's picture

hyde and kenny look like they are coming in

Johnny Ginter's picture

FALSE START everybody drink

Nik's picture

was taht seriously the first of the game?  amazing, especially considering all the other penalties this game

Jason Priestas's picture

Shugarts had one in the 1st half. Try not to act too shocked.

poguemahone's picture

Philly with the Taurian

flipbuckeye's picture

Good execution by Bauserman though.

KCAlum's picture

Naples FL produces college football players?   They allow people under 60 into the town?

Blake's picture

Joe Bauserman just completely spares me to death. Every time I look at him I feel my life force drain a bit. I'm sure he's a good kid but he's never improved a day he's been here.

poguemahone's picture

He had a good, dropped pass and ate the ball when he should have. Not great, but not agonizing either, which is what he was last year in spot duty.

Nik's picture

agreed, he's certainly serviceable if necessary

Blake's picture

I agree, he's not guilty of poor plays per se. He's just guilty of being consistently average every time he's ever received playing time. If we're looking for a #2 qb still, then give me Guiton obviously.

poguemahone's picture

I'll agree with that. I think if we need either one of them for a win against someone other than the poor sisters of mercy, though, we'll be pretty well screwed.

Johnny Ginter's picture

this is the first time ive ever said this unironically, but i really want to see kenny g here

Johnny Ginter's picture

yeeeeessssssssss

tampa buckeye's picture

there we go berry.

tampa buckeye's picture

there is that burst we heard about for the last ten years

Johnny Ginter's picture

jaamal berry wtf

poguemahone's picture

Dudes. We are deep at running back.

gbm's picture

I knew we were, but I feel like we just found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Johnny Ginter's picture

awww TP makin friends

DAVE's picture

Ok.  Nice win.  However, special teams need work.  Pass defense needs work.  The season doesn't start until next week.  Thoughts?

poguemahone's picture

Pass defense was far better than I anticipated, actually. A few guys need to wrap up better, but overall, I though Chekwa and Torrence (minus the penalty) were solid

Johnny Ginter's picture

pass defense is never as bad as it seems during the game, marshall barely completed 50% of their passes for only 155 yards with an int. not too bad against a spread and pass happy offense

Jason Priestas's picture

Fun night. Thanks for stopping by, everyone.

tampa buckeye's picture

good first game nobody got hurt.  now miami week.

Natty Light's picture

cory linsley got hi in the back of the knee and was helped off thefield.  hope he's ok

flipbuckeye's picture

It's good to be back.

tampa buckeye's picture

good game pitt vs utah

Kennywayne34's picture

Pryor looked good.Besides the obvious ,I really liked the way he navigated around the pocket when there was a little pressure. Moeller is a savage beast, that kid was straight out playin his a** off. Litlle shakey on special teams but I trust we will get that fixed. And finally as far as the running backs go.... Todd Pletcher is envious of our stable.
