Sparty got the best of a Purdue playing without Robbie Hummel and OSU is one home win away from repeating their unprecedented feat of winning conference championships football and both men and women's basketball in in the same season. (The Buckeyes pulled this off in 2005-06 and 2006-07.)
It's a good time to be a Buckeye.

As I recall, it's been good to be a Buckeye since about the 1960s, when I saw my first game.
It's especially nice now.
I believe they got the trifecta in 2005-06, too.
'06-'07 was good but... Losing both national championships to Florida sucked a bit. 2nd place in both sports is better than every other school on the nation but one. I can't help but think, "Don't people in Florida have good enough compared to Ohioans (as we begin to dig out)? Did they really need both titles? Not that I'm still bitter. Oh yeah, they get hurricanes.
This year has the potential to top '06-'07. Go Bucks in the tournaments!
They did
The OSU Athletic band celebrated those championships on the field during the '06 spring football game
I live in Florida. I am surrounded by Gator fans. Two of my children graduated from UF.
I hate the Gators, especially that punkass bitch Urban Meyer. I'm going to be sending an email at work tomorrow to all the Gator fans about the Buck's trifecta, and pointing out how miserably pathetic the Gators' overall record is during this time compared the the Bucks. Back last fall I got into some trash talking emails with four other judges, including one appellate court judge.
I wouldn't talk too much shit to them. They do have 2 basketball championships and 2 football championships in the last 5 years.
You're right. It has been an amazing stretch.
Top 3 teams in the Big 10 are 0-5 at home against each other. What happened to home court advantage?
I hope that home court advantage is in full effect Tuesday. Of course, we ARE talking about the Schott, where intimidation has no meaning. I guess I hope we don't play too tight, knowing that all of the marbles are on the line. Wine one more and it's B10 title, but lose and you can't make up any more ground.
Win, that is. I swear I'm not a lush. OK, most of the time...
