Who knew Louisiana was one of the few states in the Union without a Chipotle?
The burritos... usually when you roll something that good, it's illegal.

There are no Chipotle's in NY either....what am I missing out on fellas?
There are better burritos out there, but the location to location consistency Chipotle demonstrates is supernatural. Plus the steak seasoning is the mad note.
We just got our first one in South Carolina. Thank heavens for my annual trips back to Ohio to visit the family.
BuckeyeSki...Chipotle burritos are like legalized crack/cocaine.
I know NYC has some, so maybe a weekend trip to the city soon to try one out? You won't regret it.
We have a place called Moe's that has ridiculously good burritos, comparable to street level drugs as well...but more of a meth kinda feel to it LOL
Hey Dave, where's the Chipotle in SC? Would love to get one here in Greenwood, though I'm sure it's low on their list.
Moes tried to start up here in Columbus but didn't last because of Chipotle!
Any Qdoba fans in the house?
The name alone leads me to believe these are burritos made by Allah?
I believe they drove a stake through Baja Fresh's heart as well. My one gripe is that I have to say "quiero solemente un poco arroz, por favor" so I don't get a fricken pound of rice. This forces them to add more meat/beans/veggies Muahahaha!
Also, for ultimate sloth you can utilize "deliver my burrito"
http://twitter.com/BurritoDude...
They tax your wallet pretty good, about 4-5 bucks to deliver your order, but sometimes its worth it (read: hangover)
you are missing out on a lot
Qdoba isn't even in the same ballpark as Chipotle -- Qdoba's burritos are dry and bland, IMO.
The shredded pork is unbelievable, although I prefer my burrito in a bowl, scooped out with chips...killer. I can't believe there are none in NY.
Unfortunately there aren't any in Mississippi :(
Forget Chipolte...we've got a dozen in NYC. But we only have one "Katz's Delicatessen" the "best pastrami sandwich" on the planet !!!!! http://www.katzdeli.com/
Have had Chipotle and Moe's and Chipotle definitely better than Moe's. The pork is outstanding and the burritos are huge.
bombs dropped in 3...2...1...
katz's deli is meh. i tried it a couple of different times and it was pretty mediocre. i know that is not a popular opinion.
i think that sentence describes mississippi in general.
1 week with out Chipotle and I start going through withdraw/convulsions. I need a chicken burrito w/ black bean IV stat!
Being from NY, I never heard of a Chipotle until I went to C-bus - they say NY has the best restaurants . . . .
For chrissake, Ski, we've got one in Buffalo!
Chicago might beg to differ on the topic of best restaurants. I mean, how can you not win when everything is smothered in cheese and bacon?
new york has a good high end restaurant scene, but LA crushes in the mom and pop HOLYFUCKINGSHITTHISISTHEGREATESTTHINGTOTOUCHMYLIPS department for cuisines originating south of the rio grande and anywhere on the asian continent.
Gov. Patterson is RUINING Albany apparently...not that I care much of politics, but when it effects my stomach directly, we got issues
I hear you have a Dave & Busters there too Ken, too bad those are the only things going on and why the Bills can't keep players
HA! I keed
We have none in the 'Ville (we have Moe's and Qdoba), but I always make a stop when we go to OH to see family or the Bucks. I will put my vote in on the shredded pork...good eatin'.
My rank:
1. Chipotle - by a lot
2. Moe's
3. Qdoba
We have a place called Bazos, a local chain that is better than Moes and Qdoba.
Where is my boy SouthBay at? Shouldn't he be on here trying to sell us all on Fish Tacos, I hear that is all the rage in Cali.....
I tried to swear off Chipotle years ago because, let's be honest, they aren't good for you if you aren't an active person. They have a lot of calories and too much sodium for one meal. Well, I wasn't successful. After years of eating these things I love them more than ever. Chipotle, I'll never quit you!
atta boy
Not to mention the fact that Giordano's is the best pizza ever.
Chipotle is a 2-minute drive from my workplace here in Westerville. I go there all the time. Burrito Barbacoa with rice, extra cheese, sour cream, green chili salsa, and red chili salsa....it's the bomb.
I mao on half chicken/half carnitas, rice, black beans, salsa roja, pico de gallo, easy on the sour cream, easy on the cheese. Magnifique.
I must say, they are pretty close, but I actually do prefer Q'doba. I used to work at the Cincinnati airport and they put one in there. I wound up eating there 3 times a week for lunch at work. I also live in Northern KY and the openned one basically across the street from Chipotle. They coexist well. I enjoy both, but do actually prefer Q'doba.
I will say the best burrito I have had was a Lobster Burrito in San Diego. It was this little walk in hold in the wall place and it was great.
We always called Q'doba and Chipotle burritos Allien Baby's. That fat little aluminum wrapped bundle of joy, looked like something from a Martian cradle.
It's pretty solid, but as with most things up here, it's heart-attack-licious.
I had a lobster burrito for the first time in Honduras last year. A-MAZING.
meh, just eat a giant bowl of Fiber One with a cup of coffee and when you are done with the activity that will inevitably follow...go for a run! voila! you have removed the impurities. these life skills brought to you by salt flavored by 'nacho cheezier' powder.
Moe's is amazing.
I know it was still just a burrito, but I feel you haven't had a great burrito until a little lobster is thrown in there ..
They used to have a Moe's on high street, but it's no more.
California is burrito central. Went to a place in SF called La Cumbre back in October. They apparently invented the "mission style"(what chipotle is_ burrito. it was amazing. Wash it down wish a dos exis amber and call it a night.
word.
Fish tacos at Wahoo's here in SoCal are the shizz. But I'd rather have a chicken sombrero wet burrito at el sumbrero #2 off artesia in Manhattan Beach.
wahoos? manhattan beach? stop being such a white dude! get to east LA and get the good stuff.
Double steak, rice, black beans, the red/hot salsa, sour cream, cheese. Side of guac and chips... That sounds so godly right now... I'm actually going to go get one right now. Chipotle should be paying you guys.
right after the finish the "13" tattoo on the back on my head....
bawk bawk bawk
you are more likely to see a chubby chola than a gang member in crazy mode.
i've been to a couple places when over on that side of town for work, but for conveinince sake i stay in my own neighborhood. if we're gonna go all out it's panchos and or riviera towards PV
you need to go to Rubio's for that....
yes!! i went there with a friend last winter and i did not catch the name and i have been trying to figure it out for a year.
Tacqueria La Cumbre? I saw it on Mam Vs. Food and then I was up there for Oracle Open World for work and made it a priority to go there. Amazing.
it is indeed amazing. it actually prompted me to search for hole-in-the-wall mom and pop type places in LA. that (and proximity) is why i have east LA covered.
all this burrito talk....
def a driving range and mexican food night.
I can't believe a post about burritos I prompting more commnts than most bball posts.
burritos noches, y'all know what I'm talking about
Screw OSU sports, we talk authentic Mexican here.
heh, good times. i was actually trying to remember the name of that place a few weeks ago, but couldn't figure it out
I'm also in NYC, but a few months ago I was craving definitely craving Giordano's like crazy. I've yet to get my fix...need.Giordano's.ASAP.
man, i've been here like 6 months now and i have yet to go to giordano's. i really need to try this place out one of these days.
Ski your comment made me laugh so hard I nearly pissed myself. Damn man!
Yo SouthBay...I hear you on that brah. I'd rather stay alive then to go looking for burritos in Trecé territory.
Sorry Ski, but I gotta jump in on this...being stationed in San Diego for a time, the best burrito ever was a carne asada with guacamole from Adalberto's. It makes Moe's taste like Alpo. Also, in San Diego, they make Carne Asada fries and chips as well as a bunch of other concoctions (El Diablo shrimp burrito...it burns both ways).
Just had a few "Monster" burritos from Freewirld's diwn in Austin, pretty good. I made it a point to go to Darrell K Royal and throw up a Block "O" in front of the gate...
I believe I've been to Chipotle in 5 different states. Anyone else who can top that?
Baja Mex is WA. Better than Tex Mex.
Well, Ski, I think that you hit the root of the problem. After all, McGahee bolted because of drab night life, but if the bars are open 'till 4:00am, it can't be all that bad. But that was before Dave & Busters, which confirms your point.
Yeah, and you're still alive.
Nap, we have our priorities.
i can only match that. Whenever i go on a road trip these days, i'll find the chipotles along the way, and stop at one for lunch. So soon enough i'll be over that, haha
he could always go to the anchor bar.... or if he REALLY wants a wild night make the trip to jamestown!
When I lived down in NOLA, I craved Chipotle too! My friends & family thought I was odd when the first thing I'd do when I traveled was find the nearest Chipotle as soon as possible.
Fortunately the Big Easy had a lot of good burrito joints, though it never quite was the same.
Only been there once, but I was underwhelmed, too
Co-signed. I had one myself last night.
I remember using swipes on some late night BN hotness and pouring Natty underneath one of the tables into a cup. Meal of kings.
if there is anything burritos noches has over chipotle, it's the nacho cheese that you can get in your burrito. amazing.
I hate to be a hater, but Moe's ain't got sh*t on Adalberto's Carne Asada, out in Cali.
Isn't Chipotle owed by Mickey D's? Never tried it but might now.
It is. Try it, but bring an appetite, those things are huge.
nah, they split a few years ago. The corporate cultures just didn't mesh
Anchor Bar, now we're talking real chicken wings! Jamestown, uh, no need to be there unless you have to be there.
One of my roommates at tOSU was from Jamestown. Western NY represent.
I have a lot of family in that area. Jamestown officially died when Anderson screws went belly up.
Is Aldo's still there?
gotta give some love to the spicy potatoes... seriously underrated. something i think Chipotle should incorporate. who's gonna tell me they wouldn't at least try those next time on their burrito?
No question, sbb, that Jamestown has weathered some tough economic events. I believe that Aldo's is still pretty popular.
We live in Williamsville, an eastern 'burb of Buffalo, so I don't get to J'town much these days.
This isn't exactly post-USC game thread is it? We do play Sparty tomorrow however.
Is the game National tomorow?
12:00 PM EST on CBS here in Dayton tomorrow.
Just checked, stuck with Pitt.
bup's burritos noches order, every time: black beans, tomatoes, lettuce, that yellow and white shredded cheese they had, rice, chicken, and a leeeeetle of the spicy sauce.
perfection
Pitt-Nova in western NY. Wonderful.
