They're honoring the 1960 National Championship team today. It's been 50 years since Lucas, Hondo, Siegfried and crew absolutely torched the field on the way to the school's first and only title.
The stars and the Mark Titus of the '60 team1 -- a little known guy by the name of Robert Montgomery Knight -- stopped by practice on Saturday to give the team some pointers before proceeding to starstruckify The Villain at a banquet.
If the mere presence of this team today doesn't translate into a complete destruction of the Gophers, something is wrong.
- 1 From a pure playing time perspective only. We're quite sure Knight didn't have a blog. Or an ultra-moist jump shot.

Ugh, damn 700 club telethon on CBS in my area, no game. Friggin wingnuts takin away my Buckeyes!
I have the Tenn. vs Fla. game on down here. Got to follow on cbssport.com 40 points with 2:30 left in the half.
Turner is unbelievable today.
Seth Davis either doesn't watch enough basketball, or he doesn't like tOSU or the Big 10. For him to say Turner gets a lot of help from his friends is rediculous, especially when you look at the rosters for the other POY candidates.
It probably means he just looks at the stats and sees three other guys averaging 13+ per game. Only what he doesn't apparently realize is that only is happening because of Turner getting them open looks
Fla/ Ten here... Anyone know how I can see the halftime ceremony?
Buford needs to take it easy or he'll get drafted.
I was just thinking the same thing. He is getting to the point where he might get some looks. We all know he needs at least 1 more year.
Thanks for the heads up.
Man I wish I could watch this right now. They look like a pro team today.
cbssports.com has live video.
Buford is either real hot or freakin cold as the Olentangy.
heh, did anyone else notice on the ribbon at the bottom of the screen it had the score of the butler-milwaukee game as 22-244? Didn't realize milwaukee was that good
Even in a blowout win we go thru a scoring draught, forcing Thad to call a TO.
Was funny to hear the chant for Danny Peters late in the game.
Do we have the most pathetic bench in D-I? We get ahead by as much as as 28 in the final ten minutes and only seven guys play before the final minute? The bench must be really untrustworthy at holding a twenty-plus lead.
Bob Knight bowl, the picture suggests he does... nice follow through...
