The Horned Frogs took the last meeting a littleover a year ago.
With just a precious few remaining opportunities to take in college football until spring games fire up around the country, we turn our attention to the Fiesta Bowl where Boise State comes in as a 7 point dog to TCU. It's a shame these two were paired together instead of getting a crack at a blue blood, but this one has all the markings of being a highly entertaining game.
It's the nation's top defense going against an offense that has a GOB-like mastery of illusions, it's two groups of players that have forgotten what it feels like to experience a loss, and probably a pretty good look at two coaches that figure to probably be running major programs within the next few years.
More importantly for us, it's a chance to watch a rare stress-free Fiesta Bowl.

Fox dumbs down everything it covers. Watching NFL on Fox makes me feel stupid for being a football fan. It's like I am watching Sprout or Nick Jr.

I'm hearing that Jonathan Hankins will announce OSU commitment within the week, Shariff Floyd says OSU leads and will announce at the AA game, Matt James now saying OSU leads, and Seantrel Henderson now saying OSU leads and he believes he could start his frosh year at OSU. Latwan Anderson also set to announce, almost certainly OSU, at the AA game.
Should be an exciting few weeks leading up to signing day.
However, appears Hicks is leaning towards Florida and might announce it soon. That's a shame, because he is a special talent and should play for the homeboys.

Yeah, sucks when people actually do the mathematically correct play. Fortunately, Tressel is learning that Tresselball has a time and a place (against weak opponents).
These teams would beat anyone in the Big Ten not named Ohio State, and would even give us a run on a good day. But elite? No. That status is reserved for Alabama.
I didn't see greatness out of either team. I was expecting a lot out of TCU and they just didn't look that good at all to me. Boise State I've seen a lot this yeanr and I'm convinced if they played in a regular conference, even the Big East, they woudln't have won it.
Don't really see why elite status is reserved for Bama. They've had plenty of games this year where they struggled. Don't let one ass-beating of Florida make your whole opinoin.

Both teams had great defenses. You would think Big Ten fans would be able to appreciate a defensive struggle.
No team is really going to dominate everyone in their path (at least if they don't play an extremely weak schedule). Bama is going to have some down weeks, just like anyone. Florida got their asses handed to them by Bama, don't think I can put them in the same class, but possibly immediately below that. Texas has not been extremely impressive, but they have a chance to pick up a quality win on Thursday. Who else could possibly be at Bama's level? Us? Georgia Tech? We'll know more Thursday, but it's clear to me right now they are the best team in college football. But everyone has a few warts.
The MWC is a lot better than the Big East this year. Boise just beat the Pac-10 and MWC champs through dominating defense against teams that were offensive powerhouses all season. While it's possible that Boise would not have run the table having to play teams like Cincinnati, WVU, and Pitt, they would easily be a favorite to take down the Big East. I would take them as a favorite to win the ACC as well (I'd also take TCU over any team in the Big East or ACC).
