I got Gerhart. The kid is the real deal. he had his best games in Stanford's biggest games.

The wheels are falling off the Steeler bus. Tomlin is a fraud. Too much of a players coach. Cowher commanded respect first, then the players learned to love him. Don't get me wrong, the Steelers aren't going anywhere, but they will not be the power they have been for the past few years.

Bengals don't have the offense to win it all. They have a great running game, but no pass blocking at all. There's no way the Bengals run on Minnesota.

When you are asking, "Who will the Browns draft?" It is helpful to first ask, "Who would make the least amount of sense?" Who would be the least help? Who is most likely to be a total bust in the NFL? Remember, gang...this is a team that passed on Mark Sanchez to draft a CENTER!!?!?!?! W T F !?! As such, it is without any hesitation that I make the following (not-so-bold) prediction:
The Browns will trade pick 1, 2 or 3 for extra picks and make Isaiah "Juice" Williams their first pick of the 2010 Draft. OMG... I can't wait!!

The draft is the next issue. A good RB, LB or S, could make the Browns better next year. Spiller looks like a can't miss, but inj's are an issue. I also like T.Mays and E.Berry. Linebackers like Spikes(UF) and mcClain(BAMA) also look good.
One thing I wouldn't do is draft a QB in the 1st round this year. There are a few good ones, but the Browns issues run well past the QB right now.

Agree 100%. Bring in a washed-up free agent who can at least play competently - not amazingly, but competently- for cheap, and fix the rest of the team before you draft a first round quarterback. It's *way* too expensive to draft one and have him be a bust or even just worthless because you don't have the talent around.
IMO, you should never take a quarterback in the first round until your team manages to be at least consistently mediocre (6-9 wins) or at least in the top half of the standings on offense or defense, without one. There are plenty of old quarterback who can manage the game.

You express disdain for the bowls. I'll counter that news service polls gotta go. Perhaps the most ignored flaw in the whole damn argument, is the fact that the press has any say whatsover regarding what must be decided on the field.
Regarding playoffs, it should be a tournament of champions. Only conference champions gain admission. Follow the NFL, where record determines seeding. If all conference champions somehow end up undefeated - follow the NBA draft and impose a lottery to determine seeding. As for bowls, the bowls ARE the playoff games!
America we can have an undisputed, college football champion. We just need to rid the system of outdated institutions, corporate interference and an insincere press.
