We are #8 in USA Today Poll, 2 ahead of USC, and #10 in AP, 1 ahead of USC. Oregon is ranked behind USC in both polls. So much for head to head.

And don't look now, but SEC only has 3 teams in AP top 25, and Big 12 has just two; Big 10 with four.

I'm split on the Hope move, but I think at a school like Purdue you have to create some buzz, generate love among the players for their coach, in order to show that you can be a player on the national scene. Say what you want about Hope, but he beat OSU and Michigan in the same season, in what could end up being a losing season for the Boilers.
Yea.. I have no problem with Hope. Bottom line RE: our game with them?!? We GAVE them that game. TP may not (dear God... I hope not) have a worse game than that the rest of his time at Tosu. Remember, too, a lot of that game rests on the O-line's shoulders. TP seems to have learned since the PU (appropriate) game to run North/South when the pocket collapses.

Dude, they are SEC. All SEC teams should be in the top 10 slots, because we all now they are the greatest football conference ever, even better than the mighty NFC East. Don't fool yourself, only SEC Teams could beat SEC teams, and Vanderbuilt (bilt? who cares?) would surely win any other conference they played in with their backups starting.
Don't ever question the SEC again.

Wow, it looks like CBS sports actually labled the USA Today poll as the AP poll, and listed it twice. As the SEC network, they must really, really want 4 SEC teams to be ranked.

Anyone who can make Dick Rod have that stupid, blank look on his face, plus a post game bitchfest, I like. That guy is a total douche and I applaud Hope for calling him out on it.
You know, I was looking at the conference standings yesterday and the SEC east has one good team. The west has Bama who is really good and LSU, who honestly has played 2 teams this year that were any good and lost. Auburn is a pretender for sure. I think in the outback and cap 1 the Big 10 could put up 2 wins this year.
I think he definitely has turned the corner. He looks so much more confident out there. I think each game since Purdue he has looked much better. Again, i know there are some passes that are horrible mistakes, but I honestly think his throws are more on the money, his misses are away from the defenders, and he is running with purpose. We are so close to seeing the talent we heard about in recruiting.
i knew when i came to this site to read the blogs it would be funny. It is crazy Buckeye fans think beating PSU was a big win, but last time i checked they lost to Iowa. The Big Ten is horrible and i guarntee OSU loses bad to Oregon in the Rose Bowl Penn State gets slaughtered by LSU and Iowa who cares. Pyror has turned the corner, really the last time i saw the play calling it makes him good for about 125 yards passing a game. What a shame Tressel got ahold of a talent like that, but the good news is that any big time QB recruit will never step foot in the worst elite school offense i have ever seen. Big win i think not a big win comes against elite comp not a Big Ten.
