The Rivalry Depth Chart Set

Jim Tressel’s made public the odds and ends of who’s lining up where before the biggest game of Ohio State’s season every season.

For the second time in as many weeks, there are no marked changes from the Iowa game to this contest. Anderson Russell, fresh off an INT against the Hawkeyes, remains the starting free safety. Brandon Saine technically remains the “starter”, though Boom Herron is the top backup ahead of Jordan Hall and Jermil Martin.

The Vest also continues to show his loyalty to even embattled starters, as Chimdi Chekwa remains the primary cover corner despite a few noteworthy gaffes.

Don’t really have a prob with Chekwa starting, last I checked Marvin McNutt still plays for Iowa.

    • Luke says:

The TD in particular was a freakishly good play. Hard to fault him on that.

      • blazers says:

short post due to the lack of changes?

        • Fode says:

agreed…tone of the article sounds like they would reduce chekwas playing time because he was challenged by a good QB and a good WR…hmm…

          • iball says:

Makes you wonder what the offense would look like with TP at WR. Thats pretty much what McNutt is, I believe he came to Iowa to play QB.

          • Brian says:

Even just thinking out loud, I dont like the Pryor at WR thought. I’d rather recruit one of those huge WR’s that USC always ends up with.

  2. Scott K says:

“There’s always so much on the line at Michigan,” receiver Dane Sanzenbacher said. “It’s its own season in itself. We never take the importance off that game.”

    Let the season begin!

    Go Bucks!

  3. matt in cleveland says:

hell they should put half of TBDBITL on the depth chart …lol…

    monday of hate week!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. poe mcknoe says:

Cordle at LT and Russell at FS freak the f*ck out. Just glad Michigan isn’t good enough to exploit it. Unless that means Cordle has to block Brandom Graham…welp, we know where our RBs will be on pass plays.

  5. Bup bup bup says:

Cordle has been much better this year at guard, but I’m not all that worried about it. The o-line has put together 4 really good performances in a row, and Graham is literally the only player on that defense who would be in the two deep at OSU. they’re terrible.

offensively they’re improved, but a lot of that is contingent on their running game working, which it absolutely won’t against us. if we can learn from Iowa and defend the QB rollout and inside slant routes, I think it’s totally possible we get another shutout.

Never say never in the michigan game, but their odds of beating us are only slightly better than last year.

    • iball says:

I really have no complaints on Cordle. He has reallly stepped up these last 2 games. Russell has been relatively invisible, as well as Hines, whats up with that?

Seems like Homan has been in on everyting lately, Im pretty excited about getting him back. He will be back, won’t he?

The kickoff coverage unit killed us Saturday, Evege and Storm Klein both wiffed bad on the KR. Hopefully, this was just another lesson learned, good thing it didn’t cost us the Rose Bowl.

      • 741 says:

Cordle looked to me to be banged up and not moving well before the game, at halftime, and after the game yet somehow he plays well enough for the staff to name him o-lineman of the week…

I think some people are just conditioned to come here and bitch about certain things, regardless of the reality of the situation.

        GO BUCKS.

  6. Baba Booey says:

Hey guys, here is a closer look at the uniforms for Saturday

  7. Dean says:

Did you guys here about more NCAA-rule shenanigans at Michigan? Seems that during the time that Rodriguez was allegedly overworking his players, the team failed to turn in time logs for them. Curiouser and curiouser…

  8. Sam says:

Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham just gave us all the bulletin board material we’ll ever need:

“I’m not Justin Boren.” He’s got a lot of words for Boren. “Just somebody who shouldn’t have been here in the first place… We’ll see him Saturday.” Our front four can get the job done. Boren’s got to prove he’s still got it. He was good here, but isn’t as good there because it’s O-State. Family values thing was just an excuse for Boren because he wanted to leave. Never gave the new coaches a chance. “Some people just leave because they feel like they’re better than what they is. Not trying to put that much work into it…. a lot of people get lazy and feel like it’s supposed to come to them.”

  9. BuckeyeChris says:

Okay, Brandon. Maybe “Mr. Lazybones” will send you a t-shirt from…. the ROSE BOWL!?

Sesame Street is brought to you by the letter “L” today, Brandon. Can you use that in a sentence? Sure you can…

“Wow…Michigan sure has a lot of Ls (again) this year.”

In related news… we’ll want to have a FB or TE helping out with Mr. Graham on every single play Saturday (Poke Fun + Retain Respect = Victory).

  10. BuckeyeChief says:

Am I the only one who thinks the team shop has been taken over by football fanatics? It seems those shirts come in L only.

  11. BuckeyeChief says:

http://www.footballfanatics.com ; hangonsloopy.com is the same website with OSU instead of Football Fanatics…

  12. BuckeyeChief says:

Yeah, a few years ago it wasn’t the same. You used to be able to find different stuff on bith sires, but now there is no difference.
