Much celebrated strength coach Mike Barwis has been running the biggest con in all of sport! He and his methods are very poor as evidenced by the Wolverines pathetic second half showings. The media circus hype and Barwis’ pro wrestling interviews are comical in hindsight.

Just watched the 06, back when Tress was called one of the best play callers in the game it made me laugh, to think how powerful that O was because it was veteran laden and he could trust his QB to run the game. I think we could have hung 60 on them if the field wasn’t is such bad condition that day. Ah, it feels so good to know that it’s less than 12 hours to kick off and we’re going up to the big house and bringing home a W.

It just seems like if they were so sure he was leaving and it was that clear they would’ve positioned themselves better for a new hire, and one that would be a much smoother transition. It seems like Michigan was left to scramble, and had to settle on a 2nd or 3rd or 4th best.

You may be right about Rodriguez, but if you only have fair to good defenses in the Big 10, you better have a damn good offense. That may fly in the Big East where every week they were in shootouts. I remember every Thursday night seeing West Virginia putting up a ton of points, but giving up a ton as well. So, if now it’s give him 4 years and the team will be awesome, we’ll see. Coming into this year, everyone said look for Michigan to be much improved as Rodriguez will have his system in place and players to fit it. Are they much improved? I think maybe their schedule set up much better than last year where they played Utah and Toledo non conference.
