Penn State Award Winners Announced

Heyward and Small nab team honors to compliment their conference honors, while Pryor takes home the Offensive PoW award from the pummeling of the Lions:

Defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, with 11 tackles, two sacks and three TFL, is the defensive player of the week. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, with two touchdown passes and a TD rush, is the offensive player of the week. Ray Small, with seven punt returns for 130 yards, is the player of the week on the special units.

Jake Ballard was named as the Jim Parker lineman of the week. Thaddeus Gibson received the Attack Force award on defense. The Jack Tatum big hit of the week has not been decided.

Players of the week on the scout teams: Jack Mewhort (offense); Dalton Britt (defense); James Georgiades (special units).
