Let’s Hear it For the Villain
Evan Turner is your Big Ten Player of the Week for the second week in a row following his performance in two games Madison Square Garden.
Turner began the week with a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds to fuel the late comeback against North Carolina on Thursday. The Chicago native added four helpers and two steals against the reigning national champions, but OSU’s rally would ultimately fall short as the No. 4-ranked Tar Heels escaped with a narrow 77-73 win. Turner proved to be the offensive catalyst for the Buckeyes once again on Friday as Ohio State rolled past No. 13 California, 76-70, to claim third place in the 2K Sports Classic. The 6-7 guard tallied a season-high 26 points while connecting on nine of 14 shots from the floor (.643) and eight of 11 (.727) from the charity stripe. He becomes the first Buckeye to open the season with four straight double-double performances since Clark Kellogg began the 1980-81 campaign with five consecutive. On the week, Turner averaged 24.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in 76 minutes of action while achieving the 20-point mark for the 14th time in his collegiate career
Umm… He’s good.

we should start a hippie head explosion watch after reading that doyel article. i wish i could be in the room when his face starts to turn red and the next jihad is born.
He’ll probably just ignore it. Reading Doyel is like listening to “Hail to the Victors” on repeat for three hours. It’s idiotic, it’s incredibly annoying, it makes you dumber, and nobody with any sense does it to themselves.
Back on topic, Turner is so awesome that he can have 10 turnovers in a game and STILL win POTW.
Completel off topic, but Jason, whatever happened to Keith? Haven’t heard from him in awhile.
Keith is still in the fold. Real life comes before the blog is all. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.
Good to hear.
Just to give so more detail; my Mom was diagnosed with cancer the Monday after the USC game. She passed away 5 weeks later. She was a gigantic Buckeye fan and avid reader of 11W.
Naturally, this has been quite a shock as my mom was young, only in her 50s. I now find comfort in talking about it and I feel like I owed it to those who have asked about me here.
Behind the scenes, Jason and Corey and the entire 11W crew has been amazing. You think they have a great site? They are simply great people. I want to be back as soon as I can…as soon as the passion returns.
Sorry to hear that Keith. That’s terrible. Good luck with everything
RIP
My condolences and may her memory be a blessing. Looking forward to reaing your work again.
What is this ‘real life’ that you speak of?

Well the media and coach awards are out on the big ten network – we got the shaft.
