I guess I did omit the win against West Virginia. However, West Virginia probably loses 2 more.

I still don't understand the love for South Florida in anyone's poll. I know they have lost 2, but they have really only played 2 teams all year, and no Florida State is not a quality win. UC and Pitt destroyed them. I just do not see them as a top 25 team.

I think spots 4-10 are still a complete mess, although that could be because I'm reluctant to say that Team A could beat Team B next week because of a game 5 or 6 weeks ago.

Case in point: USC. Barkley has clearly regressed enormously in the past few weeks, and overall this may be the worst offensive team Carrol has had since his second year. This wouldn't be as bad if their D was as good as it has been in years past, but it isn't. I really don't see them as a top ten team anymore.

Oregon is also complicated. Stanford is vastly improved and this was a classic letdown game, but man that defense is suspect now.

For us, I think we would probably beat USC in a head to head game as of now, but also probably get outscored by OU. I'd put us at 10 or 11. Iowa is behind us, I don't care what their record is. no QB on an already wonky offense coupled with an inconsistent D is bad bad news. we will likey take them apart next week.

I know just winning can be enough sometimes, but Boise State isn't on the same level as the rest of the top 5 or 6. They had a hard time against Louisiana Tech, and earlier in the year got a game from Tulsa. A good team? Yes, great, no way. I'm not so sure the come in 2nd or 3rd in the Big East, ACC or Big 10. TCU proved it last year when they beat them in the bowl game. I don't know how great TCU is but I'd definitely take them before Boise.

While I agree the loss to Purdue was more excuseable, do you actually think losing to USC, is worse than losing to Stanford? I dont care if it was at Stanford or not, c'mon. Also, one loss or not, it is ok to factor in Iowa's health when making a poll. Without their starting QB, they aren't a top 10 team any longer. Too many injuries have piled up. And, just because a team beats you on your home field the 2nd week of the season doesn't mean they should be rated ahead now. Should Purdue be ranked ahead of the bucks too since they won head to head?

have you guys watched USC the past two weekends? The stat lines don't give a feel for just how bad this team looks right now. They could have easily lost in Tempe. No reason to believe they won't drop at least one more game.

I love the Bucks, but Iowa, Oregon and USC have to be ahead of them.

Iowa beat Arizona, Wisconsin and Penn State and you may as well wait one week when the Iowa/Ohio State question will be settled in the Shoe.

USC came to the Shoe and won, and one of their losses (Washington) was without Barkley.

Oregon destroyed USC and Cal, and beat Utah. @Boise State and @Stanford more understandable losses than the Ohio State losses at home to USC and @ Purdue.
