ohiokris: I have to agree with you.

To add to your analogy...I heard that Jim Tressel was given a set of some of the best golf clubs in the world. However when he arrived at the 1st tee box he pulled out his putter.

The others in his group asked him if he was really going to use his putter from the tee. Not only did he tee off with it, but he used his putter from the fairway, rough, sand trap, the fringe and finally on the green.

Jimbo...try pulling some of the other clubs out of your bag...Lamar Thomas, Jake Stoneburner, Jake Ballard, routes over the middle (like you did on that last TD scoring drive against purdue), a quick short passing game where Pryor releases the ball within 2.5 seconds after the snap (especially since your o-line can't pass protect worth a crap).

A powerful running back is also required in a scheme where the o-line sucks....just as it did in the NC season...say what you want about Clarett, but it hadn't been for #13 the silver bullets would have lost at least 2 games that year.

That's Tres though,
he doesn't change things at half-time, he never has.
OSU has never come out of the half a different team headed in a new direction. Tres sticks to what he knows, Defense, and Special Teams. I think after the 2002 season he thought he had the formula for a consistent winner and in some aspects he was right, 2 national championship games later its hard to argue with him. The problem is he hasn't adapted to the ever changing landscape of college football. He's got Vince Young 2.0 at Qb and he's trying to run Pro Style offense. Its like have a Lambo on the highway with trucks blocks your every turn. Now i know he made promises to Pryor, "i'll make you into Troy Smith" but troy smith ran the fuck out of the ball till he learned how to throw the ball. Ya gotta learn how to walk be for you can run kinda thing.
What people need to understand now is how do you get a man and "self proclaimed winner" to change?
He's lost enough big games to garner that kind of criticism, but losing to a 1-5 Purdue is just plain unacceptable. No coach should be giving that kind of leeway.
And after his press conference i feel he will never change, he thinks just getting back at it will make all the difference next week.
WOOOOO there Vest.
You just got stumped by a terrible purdue when you where a 13.5 favorite... on the road.
The Ohio State Football program is in some serious trouble, and putting a band-aid on a cut to a main artery is not going to work.
You need some help. You've got the defense down i'll give ya that much but for all the pomp and praise these o-line men got coming out of high school they've done nothing. And its not because of lack of skill, its coaching.
We've got pro level talent dripping for every position, should'n we have some people coaching them with pro level experience?
