Pryor’s High School Coach Weighs In

ESPN’s Joe Schad caught up with Pryor’s former high school coach Ray Reitz and you can add him to the list of people coming forward with solutions on how to get Pryor going.

“They need Terrelle to run more. They’ve put the reins on him and they need to let him go free. When I watch Terrelle play right now, I see a robot.”

But he’s our robot!

Designed QB draws/options are not getting us much. Pryor breaks off big yardage when he decides to tuck it and go up the field. But he wants to be Peyton Manning and is hesitant to tuck it, lest he be labeled as a run-first QB.

  2. Denny @ WFNY says:

The distant future… the year two thousand.

  3. comoprozac says:

Yes. They should run the same offense he ran at Jeannette…and schedule Carlyngton and East Allegheny. That should fix everything.

  4. jimmy J says:

Hilarious soap opera, they should of asked Posey if he wouldn’t mind letting Terrelle catch a few at WR like in the Texas game where it seemed like he was a natural. Pete Carrol suggested TP should come out to USC and let him prepare him for the NFL as a WR. Bauserman to Pryor, tell ya gonna miss that possibility jimmy T.

  5. is it Saturday yet? says:

The media is spinning everything it can to make this situation horrible. I watched the Posey interview on theozone.net and I’d hardly say that “Posey: Pryor ‘can’t do much worse’” is how I’d title Posey’s response. Those kids were defending TP in that interview.

I wonder what all this negativity is doing to the recruiting…….

  7. RBuck says:

Hey Joe, they have been running the zone read.

  8. Hayhayhay says:

This isn’t high school, and it sure as hell isn’t no name division Pennsylvania high school football. This is Division I (FBS, whatever) college football. Maybe if this coach did a better job developing Pryor in the first place, he wouldn’t be in the state of severe confusion that he finds himself in now.

  9. PAUL says:

The posts have hit rock bottom. Who care what the high school coach thinks. He’s a HIGH SCHOOL coach. If TP was tearing it up we wouldn’t give two hardcore shits what he thought. Like I said, we’ve hit rock bottom because I this thread sucks and I have nothing better to add.

So sad………. So how ’bout my Brownies?:):):):):)

  10. PAUL says:

See, I’m so bored I didn’t even bother to proof read my typos…….

  11. BED says:

So, I know this comment is unrelated to the thread, but I want to know what the (currently) 123 people who think UC would beat OSU on a neutral field were smoking. It must be some good shizz. They wouldn’t even beat us at Nippert!

    • PAUL says:

well said. Probably the same idiots that think Brian Kelly could handle all the rigors of coaching a prestigious program like “THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY”

Probably the same bandwagon jumpers that will be blowing everything Ohio State when we turn it around.

    • Poe McKnoe says:

I didn’t answer the poll, because I don’t know. Cincy has a more impressive resume than the Buckeyes this year.

      BUT…

The last time I saw Cincy play a team in OSU’s league was Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl and I wanted to claw my eyes out with the awfulness of the game. VTech wasn’t that good on offense, but good on defense. It showed.

  12. BuckeyeChief says:

I voted for Cinci, because though our D is great, TP would spot them 17-28 points.

  13. Blake says:

Good lord so much drama. Am I the only one not looking forward to Saturday?

  14. is it Saturday yet? says:

Now that LeBron and Shaq have TP’s back we have nothing to worry about…

Here’s a reader’s comment (allegedly, a USC fan) cut and pasted from Bruce Hooley’s story on Pryor at http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/10255938/Buckeyes%27-Pryor-makes-Tressel,-OSU-fans-sweat:

Do not forget folks….he’s only a sophmore….this is the first season where the team is on his shoulders. I am glad my Trojans do not have to play this guy during the regular season over the next two years. He will only get better, trust me. He will be like Tebow only bigger and faster….stronger, i doubt it, but imagine if he had the speed aroud him that they have at Florida or with my Trojans. Beware folks, you never want to awaken the sleeping giant, believe me, he is only sleeping.
