They constantly cast themselves as superior to almost every other fanbase in terms of intellect, loyalty, and they constantly cast their team as superior to all others by shouting "MOST WINS OF ALL TIME!" and whatnot. When you're always that arrogant, and that entitled, it's a tough comedown. Our own fanbase is not entirely innocent of a similar arrogant mindset, but I don't think it pervades to the degree that it does up north. It's an entire culture up there. Pride, fall, etc.
