Bloomington Looted, Evil Vanquished

The Buckeyes looked very good at times on offense, very meh at times on offense and generally solid on defense, but the Hoosiers broke the shutout streak and got a garbage time touchdown at the end of the game before going down 33-14.

Even Evil Tressel made a cameo, and Duron Carter had his first touchdown (and taste of bloodlust). Now we celebrate. Subcommandante style.

(T/F/J to BHGP for memetastic victory party inspiration.)

I would love to just be on headset and hear in on how plays are picked and what Tressel is saying, Hazell and Bollman. It seems like everytime I see Tressel reading his play sheet and chit chattering into his headset I go "oh please Tressel not the i formation!" (and then it is).

Losing Larimore is huge. I know everyone talks about how well we reload guys in the D-line, but in my opinion he was the only linemen that really excelled in the nose tackle position. I really hope the knee sprain isn't that serious, but from what I saw it looked pretty bad.

Agreed, but the line held up fine in his absence. It's just Indiana though, I can't be too sure how much that means.

My observations :

1. We throw to the Fullback?? 2 games in a row?? Who is calling the plays??? I like it.

2. Saine looked good and EVERY time he hit the defense the pile moved forward.

3. QB SNEAK works on the goal line with less than a yard to go Tress.... can we have that 1st and goal vs USC back again??

4. What's up with the FG's.... Is Pettry practicing?? Another Doink! I don't like this..... bring on the FG kicker competition.

5. What's up with all the short kickoffs?? Was this planned?? Nothing went deep into the endzone.

6. Safety!!!!!!!!!! Again, nice... that is a great way to energize the team!

7. Speaking of kickoffs, what was with the kickoff coverage tonite... OSU gave up a TON of hidden yardage on those kickoff returns by Indiana.... they couldn't do anything with it, but still

8. Pryor appeared to make better decisions tonite.

9. Pryor has to work on those passes to wide open receivers... too many high passes... he seems to throw high when he is rolling to his left.

10. It appeared that the O-line did a good job tonite. The D-line was off the charts.

11. Mark May would give Fellatio to Tate Forcier if he had the chance. Great that MSU knocked off Michigan.... too bad Washington could not seal the deal on Over-rated Notre Dame. I am hoping they get to a BCS game and OSU gets the chance to kick their asses like 2005.

If its anybody I wouldn't wanna lose on the line it would be Thad. That guy is just nuts. He can wreck havoc in the backfield and make offenses go haywire.

No way ND gets in a BCS game, they lose to BC and USC, possibly to Pitt and Stanford and Navy are not gimmes for them.

Oh, I hope so.... I HATE ND almost as much as Michigan...... just sayin that if they get to a BCS game, I want OSU to play them and knock the fat off Cheeseburger Charlie....

Forget about props to Duron Carter for his first TD (nice catch)..... and for that HUGE block... he is already a beast.

Thad is great but in terms of his position we have Nate Williams in the WDE slot and Heyward can play the position too, not to mention that Solomon Thomas and Keith Wells both show great promise, and Worthington has experience there as well. This year Larrimore has been the only one to consistently show that he can shove two men back and collapse the pocket from the inside, getting other guys off their blocks. Simon might be able to help but he's about 40 pounds lighter and much less experienced.

wish i may - wish i might - have this wish i wish tonight - **sigh** for t. pryor to even come close to looking comfortable in his own skin!

the kid has it - he's being coached up (least i like to believe so) - bulb just needs to start burning.

when, and if, it happens it's going to be a sight for very weary, sore eyes.

Dude? Come on. I know it doesn't always look sexy, but I think he's improving. Do people forget how bad he looked against USC, Texas, and even Michigan?

I think were all just sooo anxious to see Pryor look dominating and be able to run every play thrown at him and become a better passer in the pocket that we just want it NOW and not later. I know for one thing, he does seem to get the ball to various different receivers which have been on more than one occasion this season already. I really hope he stays for his senior year but I don't see the dominating Pryor coming to full form until about mid way through his junior year. Basically I can see a Troy Smith senior in Pryor in his junior year.

I think that with each arm punt, it looks less and less likely that TP leaves early. The NFL just won't take a chance on another Vince Young, given how the prior VY turned out.

Mark May wants Forcier, but Herbstreit wants Pete Carroll's baby.

I don't have as much of a problem with the interceptions as I do the fumbles. Seems like every game he coughs one up.

I think there is a very good chance that OU can take the Big 12 out of the title game. When they get Bradford back they will be much better, and a 2 loss OU big 12 champ (if they beat Texas, and they just may) will keep the Big 12 out of the national title game, resulting in a sloppy cat fight between one less Pac 10, ACC, Big 10, Big East teams (dear God don't let Cinci go undefeated), as well as Boise State and maybe TCU for the second spot against the #1 SEC champ. The BCS will come a crumbling down. Me lovey college football.

yes. yes they do.

look, if pryor hasn't made any improvement by the end of the from where he is now, then maybe it's time to whine. but since when has a Tressel coached team not made improvement over the course of a season?

Larimore's absence is huge? His replacement went in there and got an interception on the next play. Defense will be fine.

Coleman's absence, however, was felt. Russel had a "career" game, but that's only because he's the guy everyone was throwing towards. Still lots of space between him and the guy he covers. That interception? He was 10 yards away from the play, got lucky on the deflection and overthrow. Can't wait for #4's return, and we're going to need him against Wisconsin's TE.

2nd half offense sucked. It sucked hard. It looked like the offense during the 2nd half of Navy and USC. Do these guys do any halftime adjustments? It seems it always goes in the wrong direction.

If I'm not mistaken, that's four consecutive covers for the Buckeyes - if that's not a record for the Tressel era it's gotta be close.

I really thought Pryor looked better tonight than he has so far this year. His decision making is getting better, and while he does miss on some passes, that pass to Posey for TD, was a pass that only a handful of QB's make. He's coming along well I think.

My Favorite Quote of the night came during Sportcenter, Georgia is 0-5 in it's last 5 meetings with top 5 teams. But that's not that bad since they were top 5 teams and aren't easy to beat. I about fell out of my chair when I heard that. Double Standard? I think So

Tell me that next week when Wisky is shoving 248 pound John Clay and Zach Robinson down our throats on HB dive after HB dive, and then let me know if you miss Dex. We don't have massive linebackers like JLau and Freeman as we have in the past to snuff out the run in the second level, and Denlinger isn't half the gap-filler than Dex is, and there's a reason why he was on the bench. Wisky is going to be a tough W.

Was the 2006 Michigan game split really 3 or less? Sounds about right given the 1 v. 2 nature of it
