On sorta of a similar note, I really hope that if we win on Saturday that we really go after Mark May and Jim Rome who both seem to go out of their way to hate on Ohio State. We all know how much we loathe May but Rome also takes it to another level. On Tuesday, he went after us for 10 minutes straight which included two segments on the Navy game and Pryor's Vick comments. And this was the second college football news behind Miami/Florida St. after a weekend that included Oklahoma losing and last year's Heisman winner going down injured! He finished off the rest of the episode advertising the week's guest speakers which included Pete Carroll and Lendale White. Talk about biased! This is nationally televised!
Sorry for the long winded rant, but there are a lot of newscasters who deserve a heaping pile of crow should we win on Saturday.
Guys, it means absolutely nothing. A "bad sign" would be Tress opening up with two straight Power plays and then passing on third down.
i think that actually might be a good sign. Get the USC defense comfortable, then start running some pass plays and stuff out of the same formation

I cant really be mad at jim rome because i remember when he came here for the 1 vs. 2 michigan game he loved it.. looked like a kid in a candy shop. His M.O. is always to take extreme angles, he'll do what he does.. Mark may is a certified buckeye hater, and rides the trojans like a magnum

Seriously, the guy beat USC while he was at Ohio State, he NEVER LOST TO USC while he was at Notre Dame, he beats USC just by schooling Mark May every time they debate...Lou Holtz is a legend, and it's always good to have him as a fan, and as someone who wants you to do well. He's one of us, dammit...he's one of Woody's.

Sure Rome is pro USC, he is from LA. But he had Archie on and was tremendously respectful to him. Mark May just seems like an OSU hater, Rome is more of a USC fan that remembers the OSU vs USC Rose Bowls from the 70's and 80's.

I dont' care what he said about Ohio State, I just think Rome is unwatchable and his radio show is awful. All of these callers with prepared smack that they typed up the day before they call in. STUPID, I frankly don't care what he has to say about anything. Mark May is hater. Back in 2002-2003 when the Buckeyes won 19 in a row or whatever the tally came up to. He picked them to lose every week. Then when they finally did in Madison he was like told you. Well yeah, if I say Florida is going to lose every week, eventually they'll lose. More than that though, he's awful at breaking down games and picking winners. Lou Holtz at least is entertaining to watch. May has no personality either. I don't know why he has a job on ESPN.

Lou's speech was great. I love Lou Holtz. Remember, he's one of us. Although born in WV, he grew up in East Liverpool and went to Kent State-one of my old weekend stomping grounds as a teen.
Anyway, Lou's speech was nothing like a Tim Tebow speech. I wonder if we could get TT for a pregame pep talk?
Even if we can't, Tressel just needs to ask himself, "What would Tim Tebow do?" If he can someone tap into Tim Tebow's awesome powers, he'll no doubt come up with the perfect game plan.
Maybe we just need a pregame prayer. Something like, "We come to you today Tim Tebow and ask that you be with us in our time of need. Help us to play mistake-free football and play to the best of our abilities as we respectfully dismantle our opponent. We thank you, o lord, Tim Tebow. In Tim Tebow's name we pray. Amen."

I don't think any number of victories can shut-up mark may (he's paid to do what he does), but he can be tuned-out. I haven't actually heard him speak in over a year. Of course, that usually means I also miss the commercial announcements that follow. I had to watch Lou's pep talk after-the-fact.

I just wanna say that if OSU wins then they will get credit for the win, but it won't really be as much as if they had one last year when the defense was the best in the country. I hope USC wins but I accept that there is a possibility that they will lose and if they do I won't be a sore loser. All I have to say is that I have more doubts about Pryor than USC as a whole, maybe I haven't seen enough to judge (most likely) but OSU's d-line doesn't seem that impressive to me so unless the d-line dominates USC then USC will most likely win. Stop the run at USC and you'll have a much better chance of winning.

Get ready for 9 or 10 win seasons as long as Tressel is there. He turns world class atheletes in to mediocre players. I can't blame his star players for leaving early. I wouldn't hang around for that offensive nightmare. What a looser!
