Sadly, his Trojans backed up his talk from a year ago and for all we care, he's earned the right to run some more smack.
“It will be exciting to be an SC fan and with all the SC guys we have on the team out here in Cincinnati now to be rooting against the entire state of Ohio. It will be fun,” Palmer said.
Unfortunately for Palmer, he'll be sequestered in a Cincinnati hotel room with his teammates preparing to play the Broncos the next day, but don't be surprised if he doesn't figure out a way to make the short trip up 71 for the game.

Carson Palmers a jackass, Im sure he is trying everything in his power to get every one in cincy to hate him. So maybe by chance he will get traded. If the Bengals did they would be stupid but that's a whole other conversation. I would love to see one of the buckeyes in the NFL just slap him in the mouth one time. Or get a cut screen of him in Columbus at this years game crying like a little girl after we kick there ass this year.
I'm a Bengals fan and all I gotta say is, "Carson, shut your fucking mouth and win some goddamn ballgames! You might be the biggest waste of talent in NFL history, so figure it out!"
If Carson concentrated on the NFL a little more, maybe he would have led the Bengals to more than exactly one winning season in the six that he's played for them.
Uncle_Buck----are you serious? No one down here hates him, and believe me---we have plenty of hate to go around.
I just laugh this shit off. Im glad he supports his alma mater, as I expect most of the NFL Buckeyes do too!
If THE BENGALS KEPT HIM OFF THE GROUND a little more, maybe he would have led the Bengals to more than exactly one winning season in the six that he’s played for them.
/fixed
You can't blame Carson for backing his alma-mater and a school he won a heisman for. I'm a huge tOSU fan and a huge Bengal fan, but if you moved to California and worked for the Dodgers you wouldn't want tOSU to win games against UCLA?
and, I see where you guys are coming from, but its safe to say that Carson is the LEAST of the Bengals worries
Guess it didn't take long for the Palmer apologists to come out of the woodwork... Of course we can't blame the QB for a team's lack of winning. That would be illogical. /sarcasm intended/
But back to Palmer--why is he so obsessed with OSU? Could it have something to do with him thinking his USC team deserved the NC in '02 over OSU? I wonder...
How do you blame the guy that throws for 4000 yards every year, for the Bengals problems? Please, instead of saying we are stupid, explain you logic behind this.
Im not apologizing for Palmer, what has he done to apologize about? He's the best thing to happen to the city of Cincytucky since Mike Brown took over.
Dude its simple, no Palmer, no playoof appearance, no Ocho Cinco, no Monday night football.
Who cares if he likes to back his school? the only time he's ever said anything about them is when asked. Thats hardly being obsessed. I would fully expect the same response out of ANY Buckeye in the NFL.
word, you can hate on the bengals for any number of things, but carson palmer has done nothing but good things as a bengal
Yeah C'mon guys, Carson Palmer isn't the problem in Cincinnati. His numbers have dropped the last 4 years because his O-Line keeps getting worse. I believe this year he will have a monster year. Think of how many games the Bengals were competitive in last year if they had an actual QB in the game and not Fitzpatrick.
Also, if this were a former Buckeye like Teddy Ginn speaking about the Hurricanes and OSU and Miami were playing in a game, we all (myself included) would be going nuts. Carson isn't going to talk smack about his school and he's just wanting people riled up to make the game more fun. But to say he is a waste of talent, C'mon it was just 3 years ago when the debate was who is the best QB, Palmer, Manning, of Brady.
The BIGGEST problem the Bengals have is Mike Brown. I was shocked that he was the 3rd or 4th worst owner in the NFL. I can see Al Davis being awful, but at least in his history his teams have won something.
good AND legal things, lol
The problem is Carson goes out of his way to bash ohio state. and even all of ohio I guess you didn't see his comments last time. If this was a first time offense, I wouldn't care.
i actually don't know how great of season carson will have without Houshmandzadeh balancing things out for chad johnson (i refuse to call him by his "real" name), but the bengals defense will be sneaky good and fun to watch.
okay, maybe sneaky decent. but better than people might think
i remember he got his nose broken in a preseason game last season. i can only hope for something worse. what a messed up team the bengals are....chad johnson...hey, i am going to be really cool and change my name to numbers in spanish!! nut freaking case. they are awful to watch. just awful....i would rather watch paint dry.
mike brown is really bad, and as every bengals fan (including myself) will tell you over and over and over, his refusal to hire a GM is probably the longest running joke in the NFL. he really has no idea of how to run a football team; the scouting is consistently bad, players' backgrounds are barely looked into, etc
on the other hand, al davis is a crazy psychopath, which counts for something.
I guess enjoy the Browns and their greatness then
