I read an interview where he talked about eating a box of donuts the night before a game. Pretty sure it was in the dispatch.
Yeah, I can't believe that his voice is associated with his body.....he sounds more like he should be continually pushing those glasses back on his nose while playing chess, not being the catalyst for very likely an NCAA team....

If you haven't already seen it, there's a fantastic doc featuring Turner's high school. It's from '94, but gives you a little insight into where he played ball in Chicago.
