After his recent improvement, I was hoping Buford had finally gotten his rotation responsibilities down - I guess not. We can't do without his offense though, with both Turner and Diebler struggling.
That was some really excellent play (other than Evan's FUCKING TURNOVERS & FT MISSES) down the stretch. It seemed pretty clear that they just didn't have the size or athleticism to deal w/ Buford, Turner and Mullens.
It was a little iffy for a while, and that's getting awful old, but hey - it's a B11 road win, and just a couple of those along w/ Miami/ND will get us to the dance.
I take your point. It just seems like if he wants to take that last step into true badass-hood, that double miss on the intentional, at that point in the game, is unacceptable.
I especially liked it when BJ SLAMMED IT HOME on that late possession when they beat the press and his defender RELEASED leaving him open. Also when he rebounded Evan's miss - he picked the ball out of the ait like he was shooting SKEET.
I hear you...my TV screen was in jeopardy after those misses following the intentional foul.
To me, the final step for him is knocking off the bullshit turnovers. He carries the ball nearly every time he touches it and it's totally unnecessary.
Too bad we can't call him PJ Entry Pass...he caused two ridiculous turnovers (only 1 charged to him) trying to initiate the offense and still adds absolutely nothing at that end of the floor but I do love his hustle and I thought that block was a great play. Bad call, for sure.
Nothing like beating down Mich-again on the night they chose to honor their last national champ team!

Go Bucks :)
Bucks looking good so far. Very solid on defense, moving it around on offense. Good to see the bigs getting some points.
How did they call goal tending on Hill's swat? Looked clean. Great hustle.
Was def not a goal tend. 2nd half should be interesting.....
Big three right thur.
Reverting back to last year....it's the Evan Turn(ov)er show. Can we get a call/break at some point.
Douglas looks like he weighs 145 lbs.
Why isn't Buford on the block backing him down every time?

Speaking of.
If all goes well, we're gonna have some ballers in Buford and Mullins by the time the Big 10 tourneys starts.
Let me guess what's going on at the MGoBlog thread:
REFS! REFS!REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS!
forced to follow the game online in NY, don't get the BTN, looks like Evan Turner finally decided to take over
Good play from Turner, Buford and Mullins.
That or a quick segue into hockey talk.
nobody other than buford, mullens or turner has scored for OSU since Turner tied the game at 38 with 10:27 left in the game...
Nice victory though.
Mullens killed it tonight. We won't be needing a "Ghost Of" moniker for him, that's for certain.
Wow, from the AP article:
" [B.J] Mullens had five points during the decisive spurt"
terrible officiating tonight, only plus about it was that we got some calls go our way at the end of the game..
Harris is a hell of a player

Hey Ma Ma Monkey: Basketball officiating is ALWAYS awful, and it ALWAYS cuts both ways.
His turnovers killed me too but damn, he hit 8/10 FT down the stretch and 11/14 for the game. I'll take that.
Huge win. I think this gives a big confidence boost going forward.
thats my boy pj hustle
