Go Bucks :)

GoBucks89 on 17 January 2009 - 9:41pm #

Bucks looking good so far. Very solid on defense, moving it around on offense. Good to see the bigs getting some points.

frosty on 17 January 2009 - 9:58pm #

How did they call goal tending on Hill's swat? Looked clean. Great hustle.

Bart Shleester on 17 January 2009 - 10:09pm #

Was def not a goal tend. 2nd half should be interesting.....

Jason on 17 January 2009 - 10:24pm #

Big three right thur.

Bart Shleester on 17 January 2009 - 10:29pm #

Reverting back to last year....it's the Evan Turn(ov)er show. Can we get a call/break at some point.

ShoeWorker on 17 January 2009 - 10:33pm #

Douglas looks like he weighs 145 lbs.
Why isn't Buford on the block backing him down every time?

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 10:43pm #

After his recent improvement, I was hoping Buford had finally gotten his rotation responsibilities down - I guess not. We can't do without his offense though, with both Turner and Diebler struggling.

Jason on 17 January 2009 - 10:44pm #

Speaking of.

Jason on 17 January 2009 - 10:48pm #

If all goes well, we're gonna have some ballers in Buford and Mullins by the time the Big 10 tourneys starts.

El Caballoo de Sangre on 17 January 2009 - 11:00pm #

Let me guess what's going on at the MGoBlog thread:

REFS! REFS!REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS! REFS!

Josh_Alum on 17 January 2009 - 11:01pm #

forced to follow the game online in NY, don't get the BTN, looks like Evan Turner finally decided to take over

Jason on 17 January 2009 - 11:03pm #

Good play from Turner, Buford and Mullins.

Jason on 17 January 2009 - 11:04pm #

That or a quick segue into hockey talk.

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 11:05pm #

nobody other than buford, mullens or turner has scored for OSU since Turner tied the game at 38 with 10:27 left in the game...

frosty on 17 January 2009 - 11:12pm #

Nice victory though.

poguemahone on 17 January 2009 - 11:14pm #

Mullens killed it tonight. We won't be needing a "Ghost Of" moniker for him, that's for certain.

poguemahone on 17 January 2009 - 11:16pm #

Wow, from the AP article:

" [B.J] Mullens had five points during the decisive spurt"

Baba Booey on 17 January 2009 - 11:17pm #

terrible officiating tonight, only plus about it was that we got some calls go our way at the end of the game..

Harris is a hell of a player

El Caballo de Sangre on 17 January 2009 - 11:21pm #

That was some really excellent play (other than Evan's FUCKING TURNOVERS & FT MISSES) down the stretch. It seemed pretty clear that they just didn't have the size or athleticism to deal w/ Buford, Turner and Mullens.

It was a little iffy for a while, and that's getting awful old, but hey - it's a B11 road win, and just a couple of those along w/ Miami/ND will get us to the dance.

El Caballo de Sangre on 17 January 2009 - 11:25pm #

Hey Ma Ma Monkey: Basketball officiating is ALWAYS awful, and it ALWAYS cuts both ways.

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 11:25pm #

His turnovers killed me too but damn, he hit 8/10 FT down the stretch and 11/14 for the game. I'll take that.

iballbuckfan on 17 January 2009 - 11:30pm #

Huge win. I think this gives a big confidence boost going forward.

tampa buckeye on 17 January 2009 - 11:30pm #

thats my boy pj hustle

El Caballo de Sangre on 17 January 2009 - 11:31pm #

I take your point. It just seems like if he wants to take that last step into true badass-hood, that double miss on the intentional, at that point in the game, is unacceptable.

El Caballo de Sangre on 17 January 2009 - 11:34pm #

I especially liked it when BJ SLAMMED IT HOME on that late possession when they beat the press and his defender RELEASED leaving him open. Also when he rebounded Evan's miss - he picked the ball out of the ait like he was shooting SKEET.

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 11:37pm #

I hear you...my TV screen was in jeopardy after those misses following the intentional foul.

To me, the final step for him is knocking off the bullshit turnovers. He carries the ball nearly every time he touches it and it's totally unnecessary.

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 11:42pm #

Too bad we can't call him PJ Entry Pass...he caused two ridiculous turnovers (only 1 charged to him) trying to initiate the offense and still adds absolutely nothing at that end of the floor but I do love his hustle and I thought that block was a great play. Bad call, for sure.

GoBucks89 on 17 January 2009 - 11:43pm #

Anyone have a clue why scUM wore their dark jersey's tonight?

Chris on 17 January 2009 - 11:44pm #

something to do with honoring the '89 championship team...

Abuck10 on 18 January 2009 - 12:03am #
