No doubt, Tom. If Turner's going to be The Man, which he is, then he's gotta hit those down the stretch since he's gonna have the ball in his hands more often than not.

Chris, you're absolutely right about Turner throughout the game and with his percentage, I was focusing on his missing his last two down the stretch where it could've helped ice the game. For Turner, I'd say they just need to add some pressure in practice for him and he should be fine. As far as Lighty goes, he has to shoot foul shots until his fingertips bleed. Tough to do when you're in school, though.

This is a weakness that's completely under their control, one I'd like to see them get better at.

It's fun to watch them so far this year. Much more fun than last year!

Excellent point, JB. I hope half of practice is spent on FT shooting and running a shell offense. I can't believe how much they stand around on offense. I guess that's what happens when your PG's don't take control nor do they drive and dish. I really thought Simmons would be further along at this point with all that juco seasoning.

I agree that the long lay off and early start played a big role in how we played, but I think a win like this may have been what the team needed. They've had a lot of success early in the season... maybe this win brings them back to the ground a little bit and pays off as the season goes on.

It's nice to get the W and keep winning streak alive, but still have the ability to go into practices and talk about how you were very beatable and keep the players heads from getting too big. I know thats a lame outlook on it, but you can thank Jim Tressel from my brain washing!

Totally agree, TB. Though I think Turner's not the problem from the stripe (83%) even though he was only 6/9 today. Lighty was just 1/5 making him 10/21 for the season (47%). Sad.

Don't get me wrong. I'll take the win, and the 6-0 start also. I'm nitpicking a little, but they really do need to get better at the line. It seems to be a continuous problem with Matta's teams, unfortunately.

They may have also been playing the typical "we're ranked for the first time, so we can skate a little" game.

Should have taken Butler and the points.
