Tom Blogical on 22 November 2008 - 10:07am #

Varmint Cong. Hey Wolverines! You're varmints. You're one of the lowest members of the food chain and you'll probably be replaced by the rat. I guess we're playing for keeps now. I guess the kidding around is pretty much over. I guess it's just a matter of pumping about five thousand gallons of Beanie down your throats to teach you a little bit of a lesson. Is that it? I think it is!

Robb on 22 November 2008 - 10:39am #

It is 8:37am central time. I am getting ready to head to the Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Kansas City. Then we will cheer the Bucks on in THE Game.

Joe Fox on 22 November 2008 - 10:45am #

0943, and I'm ready to go. Even my fat rear end can't eat due to excitement.

Let's hope the boys feel the same way. Go Bucks!!!

(Lord, am I nervous.)

Dave K on 22 November 2008 - 10:53am #

It's 7:00 AM in Seattle, I'm still a little drunk from last night, my head is pounding from the northwest beers I was drinking....FUKC MICHIGAN!!!

blazers on 22 November 2008 - 11:10am #

Ready to Rock boys!!!!! Just went through a tour of my favorite buckeye youtubes (Cie Grant is #1). Now listening to 1460 online. Heading to a Michigan fans house to watch the game, and should be a GREAT DAY!

PG on 22 November 2008 - 11:23am #

1,000,000-0 Buckeyes.

Ok, where's my t-shirt?

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 11:33am #

Everytime I watch that video of Cie Grant singing Carmen Ohio it almost brings a tear to my eye.

blazers on 22 November 2008 - 11:34am #

I love TP (obviously), but I would love it if Boeckman threw a TD pass

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 12:07pm #

There's a Buckeye's fan with a great sign on the secondary stage of Gameday at OU. Nice!

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 12:25pm #

Did they send the Michigan Tech team in their place?

buckeyedude on 22 November 2008 - 12:36pm #

Common Buckeyes! I have a bet with a Crapperines fan at work. OSU must beat UM by AT LEAST 13 points for me to win my bet. I think I'm safe!

C on 22 November 2008 - 12:49pm #

I love drinking beer in the morning. Let's go Bucks!

BuckeyeChief07 on 22 November 2008 - 12:54pm #

O H

Anonymous Internet Person on 22 November 2008 - 1:00pm #

I-O!!!

corey on 22 November 2008 - 1:01pm #

let's go bucks, went and tailgated. The place was buzzing

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:08pm #

Loved the midfield tussle. Buckeyes are going to be ready to lay some wood.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:08pm #

It's 2.07am, I'm floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and M------n still sucks!

Let's do this.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:09pm #

Let's do this dance!

P.S. Who at ABC thinks Paul McGuire adds value to a broadcast?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:12pm #

Great throw and catch.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:12pm #

Spoke too soon.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:13pm #

Bad throw great catch.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:14pm #

Nader will not allow a touchdown.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:14pm #

Was that a draw for Sheridan? Really?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:15pm #

Nice stand. And Animal got to plant Sheridan on the play.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:15pm #

Big hit...love to see the punishment from off the edge.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:16pm #

LOL, shutout in tact.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:18pm #

I love the blitz off the edge on 3rd and 15...force sheridan into quick decisions and he will fail.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:19pm #

With Sheridan at QB we could probably get away with blitzing every single time.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 1:19pm #

Our offensive line isn't helping things early in this game.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:20pm #

stewart would never play again

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:21pm #

They have a decent defensive front and they're going to come out fired up.

Tressel is thinking that he just needs to flip the field and then let his defense go to work.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 1:22pm #

wooo-hoo!!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:22pm #

The most important play in football, ladies and gentleman.

And geez is this Wolverine team pretty terrible.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:22pm #

Nice way to flip the field.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:22pm #

Right on cue, Michigan.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:23pm #

This Michigan team isn't giving us our bread and butter plays. So far. Not a good start

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 1:24pm #

fumble u!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:24pm #

Pryor looking like a freshman so far. That INT is probably in his head. No zip on the ball.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:24pm #

Once Pryor settles down this is over.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:25pm #

Well at least we have field position.

corey on 22 November 2008 - 1:26pm #

Michigan is going to bring the blitz all day, the Oline and TP better start stepping up.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:26pm #

Offensive line can't get it up for The Game. Shouldn't suprise us, given the last four monumental games we've had

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:29pm #

I'd be a lot more worried if Michigan fielded a competent offense. And Hartline is crazy.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:30pm #

Okay let's never try diving for a punt again.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:31pm #

at least he flashed effort for a change...but yeah, no more diving for punts.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:32pm #

OSU O-line has to start imposing its will. The sooner the run can get established, the sooner Pryor will settle down.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:32pm #

Michigan's going to be blitzing all day, as mentioned earlier. Time for some screens or anything aside from run run pass punt

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:33pm #

Run run pass, wow what a shocking turn of events.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:33pm #

Yep.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:33pm #

Pryor is wearing blinders.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:34pm #

At least he held on to the ball.

Olentangy on 22 November 2008 - 1:34pm #

That was pathetic, can we sub in some new o linemen?

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:34pm #

Michigan would be winning decisively if they fielded a good offense.

The "who am I" is Tom Brady

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:35pm #

How about some playcalling adjustments? They're stacking the box everytime and we're still trying to attack it.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:35pm #

Just in case you guys didn't know, Thaddeus Gibson eats the babies of QBs

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:36pm #

This isn't good defense, Brad Nessler. This is bad offense.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:36pm #

Wow, Ray Small in the game.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:37pm #

How do you rush two and still get the sack? Wow they suck.

Just hope the OSU O can finally wake up.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:37pm #

Beanie's Yearly Special.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:37pm #

BEANIE!!!!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:37pm #

I love Beanie Wells. And yes, it's totally gay. I'm not ashamed in any sense of the word.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:38pm #

Boom goes the dynamite.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:38pm #

Now THAT's what I mean by getting Beanie into the game.

Here we go!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:39pm #

That's the risk with blitzing every down.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:40pm #

Is McGuffie dead?

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:40pm #

Holy crap... I wonder if McGuffie regrets coming back.

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 1:40pm #

that hit should be enough to make McGuffie transfer

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:40pm #

Don't taunt McGuffie, kids. He'll float all over you.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:42pm #

Oh, how I do enjoy these Michigan 3rd and longs.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:42pm #

The defensive line has definitely shown up, critical against the read-option

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:42pm #

I want to see him try to leap the Neck.

Sammie Byrne on 22 November 2008 - 1:42pm #

so far, the O-line has played out of cat, which I assume is the opposite of out of hound.
but at least cordel and reiring had good blocks on beanie's td run.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:44pm #

Sammie Byrne, YUR DOIN IT RONG.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:44pm #

I'm not gonna lie. I LOVE seeing U-M struggle. It's just nice to see them put where they belong.

Cris Carter on the sideline...very nice!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:45pm #

With the defense playing so well, Evil Tressel would call a play-action bomb.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:47pm #

Rehring found his helmet, did you see Herron screaming "NO STEVE THAT'S NOT AN ODDLY-SHAPED HESHEY'S KISS YOU FAT MOTHERF- oh thanks never mind"

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:47pm #

Not with the way Pryor's been chucking them up.

corey on 22 November 2008 - 1:48pm #

We could see 80 straight handoffs the rest of this game.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:50pm #

I fear you're right, Corey.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:52pm #

My god, we picked up a blitz AND completed a pass. How did the Shoe not cave in?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:52pm #

Word is McGuffie is crying on the sideline.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:53pm #

Beautiful.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:53pm #

Good stuff.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:53pm #

Somewhere, Andre Ware is saying we're running up the score.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:54pm #

BEAUTIFUL throw. I don't think I've seen a better long throw and catch in many many years out of an OSU QB.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:54pm #

lol pogue.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 1:54pm #

japanbuck... Troy Smith to 7-11???

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:55pm #

Yes, Ware is completely pissed right now.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 1:58pm #

Odoms, given a good offensive line, will be good too. Not Pryor good, but still a dangerous weapon.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 1:59pm #

Troy to 7-11 was solid too, but this was about a 50 yard throw on a line and in absolutely perfect stride.

We've been complaining that he's been putting too much air under the ball, kinda like TB did, but he's not doing that today.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 1:59pm #

Yeah, I have a feeling that Jenkins was telling him to hurry up and get good because the rivalry needs that.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:00pm #

Japan = well, he was earlier, but not anymore. And my God, tOSU punters like to live more dangerously than James freaking Bond.

Anonymous Internet Person on 22 November 2008 - 2:00pm #

pryor also took a hit when making that throw. probably his best of the year.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:02pm #

Are Dantonio and Snyder the only two former Tressel assistants with head jobs now?

Anyone else catch the ESPN feature on the Pirate this morning? Leach is Stooops' 5th former assistant with a head job, the most of any active coach.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:02pm #

not punters, punt returners.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:04pm #

Beanie needs a breather after being the entire offense, OSU fantards calling him soft in 3....2.....1

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:05pm #

So anyone wanna guess if/when Boeckman sees the field?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:05pm #

I think if we are up 20 or more at the half, he may start the 3rd.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:05pm #

Start of 2nd half if we keep up this pace.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:06pm #

Nobody @ ABC knows hot to flip an image horizontally?

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 2:08pm #

No, but they know how to work the telestrator, apparently.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:09pm #

If we go for this, evil Jim Tressel, with his cape-sweatervest combo and nefarious goatee, will be making an appearance.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:10pm #

Ah.. good no call.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 2:10pm #

How was that NOT pass interference?

Robo still should have made that catch though.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:10pm #

Aw that should've been caught.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:10pm #

It looks like Robiskie initiated the contact.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:11pm #

This must feel like the ones going against the twos in practice for the defense.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:11pm #

Dirty spot.. that 1st down streak is important!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:14pm #

What an awful spot.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:14pm #

RichRod goes for it.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:14pm #

Two first downs on the same drive... unacceptable!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:15pm #

If they score, I'm going to be depressed.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:16pm #

This is disappointing.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:16pm #

Time to be depressed Jason. Defense has disappeared.

Anonymous Internet Person on 22 November 2008 - 2:16pm #

they have like two running plays

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 2:18pm #

let's let them back in game!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:19pm #

Good stop.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:19pm #

INT!! INT!! Oh, please, please, INT!!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:20pm #

Damnit.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:20pm #

Lame.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:21pm #

Defense looked better, but I'm worried again. Offense needs to score before the half.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 2:23pm #

They stuck to that base offense and it eventually worked. Unfortunately.

If RR can ever get the folks he wants, U-M could be good again. I'm not one of those who think U-M will be bad for a long time with RR, especially with the offenses he has had in the past. Thuggish and classless, maybe, but not bad.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:23pm #

Hopefully Pryor's nerves has settled.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:26pm #

Great series.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:26pm #

Hey, remember when we had momentum? Wasn't that grand?

Chris on 22 November 2008 - 2:26pm #

Wow. Glad to see we came out fired up to score before the half.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:26pm #

Again another shitty effort at the end of the first half. If you're gonna run then at least let some time go by. Didn't they learn from last week????!?!

Anonymous Internet Person on 22 November 2008 - 2:26pm #

line can't block forever. he needs to get rid of it.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:27pm #

That wasn't all on the line. Come on defense.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:28pm #

When this offense is talented, we're going to have a lot of trouble stopping it if Heacock lingers for a few years.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:29pm #

Took away Nick's bubble and he made a good progression.

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 2:29pm #

blitz!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:32pm #

pogue, he is a great coach.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 2:33pm #

I think Ness just said if you take away our touchdowns, they'd be winning.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:35pm #

Classic Nessler. Thank goodness Bob Griese isn't too talkative today.

iball on 22 November 2008 - 2:39pm #

Heacock is a PUSSY

iball on 22 November 2008 - 2:41pm #

Anyone smell that? I think its the o-line. If they think they'll win a bowl with that blocking, they're fucking kidding.

iball on 22 November 2008 - 2:45pm #

Michigan could be good again, problem is that offense has a small margin for error.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 2:58pm #

Are they playing two hand touch out there?

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 2:59pm #

Boy, Michigan isn't even breaking a sweat here. What's happened?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:00pm #

Getting a little too close for comfort and giving some of their young guys confidence for next season.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:01pm #

A score here takes the wind out of Michigan's sails. Tressel realizes it, but will he call plays to actually get it done? We shall see.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:01pm #

Uh, Beanie nearly took that 90 yards.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:01pm #

Finally. A first down.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:02pm #

This is probably the last time we're going to see Beanie in the Shoe. But Herron looks like he's coming along nicely.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:02pm #

Okay, we have the mo back, please don't shoot ourselves in the foot. HERRON YOU SEXY SEXY BEAST I LOVE YOU TOO SCHNOOKUMS

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:03pm #

Give the offensive line some credit for coming out and making some changes.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:03pm #

Jason - agreed. They've come out with a fire I haven't seen all season.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 3:03pm #

I think Boom's going to be ok.

That was awesome. Good blocking on the left side to blow those two plays wide open.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:07pm #

Why doesn't Stacey Dales just replace Paul Maguire? This crew would be thrice as watchable.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:09pm #

Bummer.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:09pm #

Great.

Olentangy on 22 November 2008 - 3:09pm #

That was a garbage call

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:11pm #

I'm gonna miss MJ so damn much.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:12pm #

Yeah, Jenkins has had a huge year.

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 3:13pm #

This is the pit away drive!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:13pm #

Probably one of the best plays of his career. Someone described him as just a notch under Champ Bailey in those draft articles you linked, and really, I think he'll be just as good. Guy hasn't blown a coverage (that I can recall) since Wisky last year.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:14pm #

One more score and we can go back to prevent and let them back in the game!

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:14pm #

I love the fact that he was also a little under the radar coming out of HS.

Too soon for Boeckman?

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:15pm #

lol flip. You're destroying my post-touchdown optimism for touchdowns that haven't even occured yet.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:16pm #

Crap, Beanie limped off. Please be okay, bowl break or not.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:20pm #

Blood on his sock. Shitballs.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:21pm #

Jesus, how are we letting guys get this wide open?!

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 3:23pm #

Let's finish them with pick 6

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:23pm #

Thank you for that brilliant call, RichRod.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:23pm #

Sheridan's hurt, David CONEBONE TIME!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:24pm #

Nice job Small!!

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 3:25pm #

Terrific return for Small! I've been hoping for him to get loose for a big one after all the stuff he's been through.

TD ROBO!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:25pm #

There we go.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:25pm #

Way to finish.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:25pm #

Touchdown to Robiskie after a beastly return by Small. Way to go out, flyin' Brian number one!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:28pm #

I was about to ask about Feagin. Odd that it took a Sheridan injury.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:31pm #

I like that call.

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 3:31pm #

Pryor is having fun!

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 3:32pm #

Uh...wow?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:32pm #

I think that's called "clowning".

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 3:33pm #

holy sanzenbacher!

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:33pm #

And I thought OSU's tackling was bad.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 3:36pm #

I'd like to see a Pryor TD run here and then TB for the rest of the game.

JeffBucks on 22 November 2008 - 3:37pm #

This is a great game so far.

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:39pm #

Oh crap. That might be a pick.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:39pm #

Pick?

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:39pm #

I'll take that.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:40pm #

It's almost like we break new running backs in by putting them into a position to go off against Michigan. Pitt, Beanie and now Boom.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 3:40pm #

This is SOOO worth getting at 2am for! Too bad I can't actually go celebrate.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:41pm #

Alright, Michigan. Punt the ball and force a safety on us and that program cover is MINE!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:42pm #

Alright, I'm headed to Mongolian Barbecue. Later, Gents

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:43pm #

See ya, pogue.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 3:43pm #

Up 4 touchdowns in the 4th quarter is nice, but I want MORE.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:44pm #

TB needs to air it out a little.

iball on 22 November 2008 - 3:44pm #

Is there any report on McGuffie? OOOOOps gonna be 42-7. here comes Toddy boy.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:49pm #

Meanwhile...

MGoBlog shut down their live chat and Brian was promising at one point to do away with them. May their offseason be long and suffering.

Olentangy on 22 November 2008 - 3:52pm #

Will Tressel go for 2 if we score again?

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:53pm #

Poor UM fans. Boeckman throws a TD, Brian@Mgoblog: "See ya next week" *shuts down liveblog*

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:54pm #

I can't believe we let them score 7.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:56pm #

Yeah, it is kind of frustrating in hindsight.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:56pm #

DIE GRIESE!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:56pm #

Griese on the Boeckman bandwagon for reasons no one understands.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 3:57pm #

When exactly have we needed that this year?

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 3:57pm #

YEAH TB to ROBO!

poguemahone on 22 November 2008 - 3:57pm #

We have confirmed evil Tressel sighting. Boeckman with the pretty pass.

Olentangy on 22 November 2008 - 3:58pm #

What a piece of S*** Bob Griese is..I guess starting Pryor didn't work out so well, only a Big 10 co championship. What an idiot.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:00pm #

Stuff it Bobbo.

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 4:01pm #

Lane!

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 4:01pm #

Safety anyone? The D needs some points today.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 4:03pm #

HIGHWAY ROBBERY

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:03pm #

Even if his feet are in the endzone? Bleh.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 4:05pm #

Did I just see Purdue hanging 62 on IU? Holy god...

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:06pm #

Good for Joe Tiller.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:06pm #

I loved the attitude on Williams, even if it wasn't ruled a safety.

You know gentleman. Today, is a great day.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:06pm #

Less Rasta, more deep bombs!

iball on 22 November 2008 - 4:07pm #

How does everyone figure UM to be better next year with all the new players coming in? They will be in their first year learning the system like these guys this year.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:07pm #

JB Shugarts sighting.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:08pm #

Next year's newbies fit RichRod's system. Threet, Sheridan, Minor, Grady... not so much.

japanbuck on 22 November 2008 - 4:09pm #

You would think the announcers would have done their homework on the gold pants things. But then again...these guys just suck.

iball on 22 November 2008 - 4:09pm #

This just in: Jim Tesssels head swiveled 360 degrees and he started chanting something in Latin.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:10pm #

Marcus Williams sighting. Boy we really are emptying the benches for this one.

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 4:13pm #

Like the way 24 runs!

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:13pm #

If my preliminary math is correct, this is the second biggest margin of victory for the Bucks in the series rivalry, correct? Missed the 1968 mark by one point.

flipbuckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:14pm #

That was a tough 42-7 victory huh coach?

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:14pm #

err, forgot about 1935. Whoops.

Jason on 22 November 2008 - 4:16pm #

Rob on 22 November 2008 - 4:20pm #

ESPN post-game commentators are dicks! Couldn't give us any respect! Had to say " Not sold on TP as passer" instead.

bup bup bup on 22 November 2008 - 4:23pm #

"bup, were you closest?"

i think so unless i missed a dude who got it exact, one point away from a free framing apparently? damn

BuckeyeChief07 on 22 November 2008 - 4:23pm #

ALL YOU YOUNG GUYS, REMEMBER THIS WELL. I GREW UP WITH BUCKEYE TEAMS LOSING 5 IN A ROW. NEVER WOULD I THINK THIS WOULD EVER HAPPEN, 5 IN A ROW!!!!!

Holy Happy Valley! It looked just like today looks the only time I was ever there.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 4:30pm #

Considering the 1990s... and the course of this rivalry before Francis Schmidt came to town (1897-1934: 22-6-2 Wolvereenies), those bastards will get no sympathy from me for the way the 2000s have unfolded.

BuckeyeChief07 on 22 November 2008 - 4:31pm #

I O!!!

tampa buckeye on 22 November 2008 - 4:46pm #

Five straight is great. Thats seven of the last 8. Don't see it getting better up there anytime soon. The seniors were yelling at the staff. Its a joke and we need to keep pounding them.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 5:33pm #

Cal Poly is beating Wisconsin 13-7 with 5 left in the 2nd quarter. Wait... what?

Tom Blogical on 22 November 2008 - 5:40pm #

Thoroughly enjoyable. We should've gone for 2 on every TD, though.

vico on 22 November 2008 - 5:40pm #

20-7 Cal Poly with a minute left in the first half. Bret Bielema is going to run that program into the ground.

Chaoscrusader on 22 November 2008 - 5:46pm #

Some Final Thoughts:

O-line: Shaky, especially at the beginning. The play calling with a couple counters helped.

T Pryor: Welcome to the rivalry, you have been blessed by god with your natural talent; in addition, you have the self discipline to be a great one. You will find out your greatest enemy will be you and your emotions. If you can emotionally separate yourself when it matters most you will rise above the fray, see the field, and how the defense will try to attack you and their inherent weaknesses. Right now, you were rattled early with the pick; your foot work, ability to anticipate, feeling the rush, and knowing when to throw the ball away was inconsistent. It wil come, but you will have to work on it.

Boeckman: If Beanie was healthy and the line played more consistent throughout the year. You did well with the time you had today. However, watching the game, Coach's call was the right one to go with Pryor.

Defense: Well played, the only time you were exposed was when scUM ran weak side counter towards the short side. T-Gibson went hard up field and the tackle could not close the gap.

Tom Blogical on 22 November 2008 - 5:46pm #

Michigan State suuuuuuuuuuucks.

El Caballo de Sangre on 22 November 2008 - 5:57pm #

Anybody else seen the AP article? Wherein Minor is quoted thusly: "You can't really blame Rich Rod because everybody on the team did not buy in like they're supposed to. We have a couple of guys not going hard. We'll correct that most definitely. That ain't going to happen on my watch as a senior."

How is this possible? What about EEEEEE BARWIS? Weren't the Wolverines who survived the crucible of the off-season supposed to have unquestionable attitude and committment? "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions" and all that?

This is a very sick program. 3-9 is only a symptom. More in a sec...

vico on 22 November 2008 - 7:00pm #

I think Wisconsin is going to lose against Cal Poly. They just scored after their second consecutive 15+ play drive to take an 8pt lead (missed the XP). Cal Poly has 242 rushing yards and is dominating time of possession (36:41 - 15:07).

buckwild on 22 November 2008 - 7:11pm #

Ohio State is the best team in the big ten. PSU got lucky earlier this year. BUt we are not ready for for big boy football, yet. Maybe in a few years but not this year. FL or TTU would destroy us this year and thats ok. Next year or 2010 we will be ready for nation wide dominance. I am the biggest BUCKEYE homer but I also am able to think rationally.

El Caballo de Sangre on 22 November 2008 - 7:33pm #

SYRACUSE 24
NOTRE DAME 23

Weis 6-5 this season, 28-20 in four years, w/ USC next week...

The Blue-Gray Sky's game thread is pretty hilarious

Tom Blogical on 22 November 2008 - 9:19pm #

Where's Blue Man and The Truth? Shouldn't they be around here talking smack about their record prior to WWI?

buckeyedude on 22 November 2008 - 9:59pm #

I don't understand the venom for Bob Griese. I met him in 1978, and he seemed like a very nice man. Maybe he is just trying to give a little love to the senior QB, TB.

I love the "5 wins in a row" and hope for the start of 5 more in a row, starting next year!

Palm Beach Buckeye on 22 November 2008 - 11:00pm #

oh Blue Balls, where are you......

OSU knocked out your great white hope,,,,, McGuffie

Truth on 23 November 2008 - 1:32am #

Congratulations on kicking a cripple’s ass!

What, you guys didn’t want to take our cane and shove it up our ass by scoring 60? Look. Listen. Michigan sucks this year. Period. Congrats on joining eight other teams [including Toledo] who kicked our ass.

You saw our players on offense…What in the hell would you do with them? Seriously…think about this for one second. How would you compete with that O-line and back up, back up, back up, walk-on quarterback?

R.R. is a good coach who will get the job done [2010 we compete for the big ten title] Give him three recruiting class’s and then we can talk about if this was a good hire [and yes, it was!]

Michigan will be fine…Enjoy your bowl game.

Try to win it this time and make the Big Ten proud!

TLB on 23 November 2008 - 2:04am #

Why would that dude come on here? I hope you keep that jackass coach around until 2010.

DeidBucksFan on 23 November 2008 - 2:31am #

Damn that other OSU winning and possibly sucking up the only at-large spot left. I'll be a HUGE Ducks fan next week for sure. If that fails though time to get some SEC revenge in the Cap1 bowl. What a great day to be a buckeye!! I can honestly say that today when I saw "Dreads" enter the game and KNEW a dive up the middle was coming for no gain I was giddy. After 4 yrs of seeing thaplay and knowing it would fail, today i was happy to see it. GO BUCKS!!

J.B. on 23 November 2008 - 2:42am #

Truth...I could easily fix it! Adjust the way I run my O to the players I have to use and tell Mallett he's the best thing since sliced bread. Thats an easy handful of wins and a trip to a bowl game.

Tom Blogical on 23 November 2008 - 8:49am #

Yeah, we'll enjoy 5 in a row. 7-1 in the Tressel era. 8 of the last 11, and that OSU is 30-26-2 in the last 58 years. We'll enjoy that a lot, thanks. :-)
