First off: very funny Palm Beach Buckeye! I think Sanford and Son(and Aunt Ester and Grady) would give the Buckeye O and D-line the swagger that they so sorely need.

I'm going to say it here first(unless somebody said it already): Beanie is going to be back next year. He needs to because he has to prove to the NFL that he can stay healthy for one season, and increase his draft status(and have another glorious season playing ball for the Buckeyes).

How did El Loco Burrito get in here? Doesn't USC have forums for morons to vent their folly?

Be careful what you hope for Taco, you just might get it. SC is a great team, but they would have history against them in a rematch. Many Great teams have blown out an opponent early in the year, only to get thumped in a bowl game by the same team later in the year. UCLA did it to us in the 70's, and Florida did it to Florida State, and those are just 2 that come to mind. Historically speaking, odds favor the underdog in a rematch.

I think his chances are largely predicated upon if everyone else chokes. Moreno and Tebow will have a difficult time climbing back into the picture (statistically speaking), so if Beanie has a really good/great remainder of the season he will have a shot if:
-Ringer and MSU fall short (particularly if Ringer is stopped against the big boys of the Big Ten)
-Daniels lays an egg against at least one opponent this year (in a loss), preferably two (eggs/losses)
-Bradford does the same (these don't have to necessarily result in losses, but in the pass being abandoned for the run due to plenty of ints and incompletions)
-Clark/Williams splitting votes, essentially eliminating one another (this is actually quite likely)

If this perfect storm of hopefuls fizzling opens the door for a resurgent Beanie to snag the trophy (and in all reality, Pryor will NOT be taking votes away from Beanie this year, remember that Tebow is the first and ONLY sophomore to win the trophy--there is no way a freshman pulls any notable amount of votes, he will not cut into Wells' votes). This is pretty unlikely, but not out of the question. That said, it would be great if he decided to come back next year to play along side Pryor and pick up the Heisman...

It could happen. He'd have to play lights out in EVERY single game though (150+ yards). This means coming up with some good highlight material and coming up big in the clutch in the Big Games (Wisky, Penn State, Mich State, Mich, and Illinois).

hey el loco taco - how does it feel to lose to an unranked opponent three years in a row?

2 losses in BCS NC much easier to handle than losing to UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon State!

El Loco Taco: because USC is so good at stopping the run? A certain Jacquizz Rodgers begs to differ. Your 1st round draft pick laden defense sure made that midget look Heisman-worthy. I guess we'll need to recruit Gary Coleman so we can beat the Trojans next year.

Anyway, Beanie will have to drop some 300 yd 5 td games in order to even reenter the Heisman conversation. We know he badly wanted to win this year, and hopefully that means we'll see him come back next year even if he could be sharing votes with TP.
