Now all this needs is bats and manta rays floating in the sky a la the Terrence Cody picture on EDSBS a few weeks ago. We're officially in bat country, ladies and gents: the best offense in the big 10 was masterminded by Jay Paterno.

Does anyone remember Anthony Morelli era?

What the hell was that?

Never fear, we have the little animal, lol.

I friggin love this commercial! I could watch this one hundred thousand times and still laugh when Paterno grits his teeth and says, "Come to Penn State!"

He must be doing something right, because PSU looks like legitimate NC contenders.

I'm pretty sure Joe Pa was drunk when they filmed this spot.

all he needs at the end is an Oh Yeah, some giant glittered sunglasses, and Miss Elizabeth, but I gotta give it to the team, their playing mean this year, and I like that.

I hope JO PA has a porta potty on the sidelines 10/25... just in case he has to go like in '06. Musta been too much Geritol! The fact remains that Penn State looks scary good and OSU must get its head out of its ass because the competition gets eons better from here on out.... Mich State, Penn St, NW, Illinois.... they are all good teams.... and Michigan which is always a tough game regardless of how much they suck at this moment in time.

PSU fan lurking here. I enjoy the 11W blog, you guys do a good job.

Jay Pa cannot receive credit for the Spread HD, it goes to Galen Hall. JayPa is the classic definition of nepotism, about my only hangup with Joe Pa. He has corrupted QBs for a long time.

The Spread HD didnt go anywhere since the 13-1 season in 2005 (M-Rob) because Morelli was a hump. Clark is the right fit.

Cautious optimism here, but we do have to come to the 'shoe and win, a tall task. Every game that TP gets under his belt will only make him better, I wish we had played you sooner. No one has slowed our offense yet, this will likely be the best test we face. I would like to think that having played against "Juice" already will prepare us for TP.

Good luck and beat MSU.

Fakewoodyman on 13 October 2008 - 11:10am #

Well Doom, I think you will find that Juice was a better all around for sure, but that when TP gets in the open field he moves just a little quicker than most QBs - then of course, he may not have anywhere to run as has been the case the last two weeks.

If the spread HD has a dink abnd dunk quality about it, we are in big trouble LOL

Doom on 13 October 2008 - 1:24pm #

Keep in mind that TP has only a couple of starts. No doubt Juice is the better guy right now, but he has been around for awhile. TP has nowhere to go but up. Followed him closely in HS @ Jeannette, and he is the real deal, a man child. I cursed the day he verbaled to tOSU. Not that we ever had a chance @ PSU, but that you got him. Now, if he had graduated a year later, and had a chance to see Clark running the spread over here, maybe he would have gave us a thought.

It may not be this season, though it still can be, but at some point, as long as he decides to stay there vs. becoming a Sunday man, he will carry you to a B10 title and beyond. He is that damn good.

This is what the coat hook on the back of the men's stall door at the PSU athletic center sees every day.
