Thanks for the feedback, BuckeyeBeau. I'll try to get that table breakdown in the next one of these that I do -- it's a great idea and could help clear up some things.

Regarding the defense, I may try to get to that soon because even though the game is fading in the rearview mirror, I think it's still an important one to look at.

one last thought; any possibility you have time to do the UFR of the defense? would love to read it.

Great great great job and thank you for taking the time to do this; this is the kind of thing that is very instructive and very needed for the Buckeye Nation... we need to see who is actually doing well out there on the field... you can get some sense by watching, but you get a much better sense of it by breaking it down... again thanks... one thought (hopefully helpful) would be to give the full table of the pluses and minuses instead of just the final number for the players. It is informative to know if, as an example, Small's -1 is the combination of +9 and -10 or is just a single mistake.

Thanks again.

It may just be you...

I've been known to watch the same SportsCenter 2 or 3 times a day or even back to back if nothing is on. Since the game I haven't been able to watch ESPN at all in fear that I'm going to hear someone (Mark May) take another jab - not saying it's not valid, but I don't care to hear it.

I did listen to 1460 today on the way to work and herd Colin Cowherd dedicate an two entire segments on the Bucks. He mentioned that he thought OSU fans were over reacting and there was no reason why we should want anyone fired over this. He pinned the entire loss on lack of talent -Saying things like "USC has more 5 star players", "Todd Boeckman is good enough to win the Big 10, but thats it" and "OSU fans were happy with the coaching staff before Saturday, why be upset now?"

He did have some good things to say however as well...."Pryor is Freakishly good!" and "Pryor will win a championship with the Buckeyes within the next two years" - Bold statement given the state of our program in big games....

I do however think that changes are a MUST by next year. Colin can say all he wants about talent... We have that. I don't care what grading scale you use, we have some of the best freakin' talent EVERYWHERE on this team, but we aren't using it to the best of its ability!

Tressel is the man! There is really no one else I would rather have running the ship at OSU, but one of the long list of things I really like about Tressel was the ability he had to make an O.K. player a good player and a good player a GREAT player... On this team however, I don't know if I can say that anyone has improved at all over last year or previous years. (Small has started the year pretty well, but has he gotten better? or has he just finally overcome his fear of getting tattooed...again?)

I have faith... It's still a great time to be a Buckeye, but damn! I hope Tress can recruit coordinators as good as he can players!

Thanks everyone. As weird as it sounds, once you know the outcome, it's not as painful to watch the 2nd (or 3rd) time through. Kind of like a horror movie, I guess.

Of course, that could just be me.

"I don’t know why everyone including myself thought that this year would be better than the last."

Not everyone thought that. Not everyone.

Great analysis, if painful to read through. I can't imagine putting it together. I've already taped a night's worth of BET televangelists over my game tape. I won't watch it.

Replacing Ben Person with Justin Boren won't help. Boren is yet another fat, slow-footed Big T(elev)en lineman. It'll be more of the same, I'm afraid.

If I calculate correctly, Boeckman's plays ended up gaining an average of 2+ yards, and Pryor's 5+. Seems pretty academic to me.

Look out for Troy, my friends. We'll learn a lot about the state of the program on Saturday. Do they come out inspired and ready to take someone's head off, or do they tuck tail? I hate to say it, but based on what I've seen from this team's leadership, they're probably tucking tail.

Not good.

Jason, another outstanding job on the analysis. I know it had to be hard, but thanks for doing it. Great work.

Matt,
I live in Westchester NY and woke up on Sunday to see the house across the street with 6 signs stapled to a tree. 5 of the signs had the phrase "overrated" with the Ohio State logo and a big X spray painted over then and the 6th had an image of a demon wearing a Nebraska helmet with the words, "#1 Cornhuskers!".

Now I do not have a Buckeye flag flying, merely an Ohio State license plate cover and Nebraska got smacked worse than we did over the last two seasons so I figured it was the 10 yr old and not the father.

On Monday the signs were gone and the father came over to apologize for the actions of "junior". I told him not to hide behind his son and reminded him it was the 1 year anniversary of USC crushing Nebraska in Lincoln.
