In breaking news (12:45 pm) from 1460 the Fan, Beanie's foot was too sore today for him to practice. Of course I'm sure more details will come in this afternoon, but this is not the news we needed to hear before the Bucks board the plane.

yikes
now we will see if they rally or crumble, if they loose this game and look lost while doing it they will have a michigan type season of a year ago, if they pull out the win no doubt in my mind they go to and win the national championship.
Double yikes.
help help i hurt. let me cost you a national championship.
Even if he does play, if its looking this doubtful 2 days before the game, how effective is he going to be?
Its rough losing our best player, however unless the offensive line comes to play (as they have been basically been dominated last 2 BCS games) it wont matter who is back there. Saine/Herron and Wells can be effective as long as they have blocking...
This is all a giant "OPERATION OVERLORD" like WWII. They are all snickering behind closed doors...Beanie is fine...Pryor has designs on passing a lot...They sandbagged the OU game....Todd will have a great day.
....yikes! Help us!!
I will believe beanie won't go when I see it. The kid played with a broken hand and banged up ankle last year. I still believe we can win this game without beanie but the d will have to step up a notch or two. Boeckman needs to be sharp like Penn st.
I think Beanie will make them play him... He wants it, he can fight through pain.
It's not our year.
I just threw up in my mouth.
"This is all a giant “OPERATION OVERLORD†like WWII."
...and Saturday at 7:55 (EST) Jim Tressel will utter the words made famous by Ike, "OK, Let's Go!"
"It’s not our year."
Don't care if it is our year, it's GOING to be our weekend!
Ballgame.
Now that my heart has stopped racing...He is not ruled out completely and if we all know Beanie, he wants to play. He has 60 hours to get the "soreness" out and then two weeks to rest it after that.
He'll play, just to give USC something to think about.
I agree with Corey. He is sore today from practice yesterday. He has two days to feel better, play on Saturday and then be sore all he wants for a couple weeks. I just don't see soreness keeping him off the field.
If players only played when they were not sore, they would play one game every 3 weeks!
this isn't our year
look out for the bucks in 2010...championship!!!
quit all that this "it isn't our year" crap out. what is this, cleveland? It's our year until a game ends with us not winning.
Thank you Jared. Keep the faith everyone, there's still two days til the game for him to feel better. Adrenaline is wonderful stuff too...he'll be ready to go.
shit...... OH WELL!! THERE is always the Capital One bowl
http://www.ocregister.com/arti...
will someone with some clout please enlighten this man about our upcoming schedule...VT, miami, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Cal, etc.
stop crying, seriously.
turn in your scarlet and grey for maize and blew, or stop the "woe is me attitude"
Weird... I'm going to be pulling for the underdog Bucks against USC. I can already feel it.
I was ambivalent going in -- well, almost -- I still remember some of those taunts from Ohio State fans in December of '06, insisting that our Gators weren't even worthy enough to appear on the same field.
Pretty much over it though.
So now I'm pulling for the Bucks over mighty USC, who look damn near invincible.
Make it a good game, Bucks. Gator Nation is -- *cough* -- behind you.
You gotta think that the other RB's are big time athletes also... Someone has to step up..... kinda like when MO went out in '03....
C'mon Boom and Saine.... you came to OSU for a reason.... plz show the coaching staff that you were worth the scholarships that you were given. Mo wells has proven he is not quite an elite back, but he can be counted on for steay play. Boom must make this a breakout game and Pryor must get some yards.......
I find it hilarious that 75 percent of you all believe this tomfullery!!! Seriously!! One day beanie states that he could carry it 45 times if need be....aka he's damn near 100 percent!!! All of the sudden.... As they're about to board the plane to hollywoody.... Well ya know what beanie's pretty sore.... Prolly won't play!!! Hilarious!!! And if you believe it....you're hilarious!!!
I also find it funny ( poguemahone, sammy) that half of you seem like you want the bucks to lose, to justify you're fearless " we're finished" predictions!!!
I think there was a reason you haven't
seen much pryor, reverses, crossing routes, or anything other than basic tressel ball!!! Saturday night is our coming out party!!! And hopefully after we dominate an overmatched, under-experienced Trojan club, some of you "diehard" buckeye fans.... Will start to believe In your own team!!!
This is our year!! It's about time!!!
why don't the ohio state coaches call llyod carr and ask what they were giving chad henne all last year. into locker room, he was smiling (angry chad) and a couple minutes later he was frowning (happy chad).
WOW! A lot of negativity today. I can't think of a time where a game was over before the scoreboard said Final... A lot of you sound like the people tht post on Fox and Espn and the SEC lovers.
Which by the way it is nice to see a Florida guy pulling for Ohio State.
Go Buckeyes!
Oh, and Herron is a bad ass - watched him play when he was in HS at Warren Harding.
I understand wanting to avoid further damage to the toe (thereby preventing this from being a season long issue), but shit...SHOOT HIM UP WITH SOME DAMN CORTISONE!!!
Ever had turf toe? It's like someone has a nail in the joint, and is twisting it. I've broken both ankles, shattered my collarbone, and tore a shoulder joint in football, and nothing hurt as badly as turf toe. It took me the off season to get over it. You're just totally incapable of pushing off, or running full go. The shots only go so far.
Wells is a phenomenal athlete and makes me look like a punk, so I'm sure his recovery will be a bit easier, but the pain he's in is not pleasant. It's far more than discomfort or a nagging ache. It's debilitating.
no beanie = Terrelle Pryor's coming out party
Defense will REALLY need to step up now. Explain to me why some of you think Tress will open it up. He hasn't opened it up since before the Florida MNC. If tOSU wins, they win vanilla. I am so sick of vanilla btw...
Another question. Will Heacock let the dogs run loose for once? Sometimes I feel like we have a crazed pitbull in the kennel, but he's on a very, very short chain. Let him BITE. Let him chase the neighbor kid down the block dribbling pee . What are they waiting for? Get after it! This game will be decided by the O-line and the ability of the D to contain the second comming of the mongol horde or whatever they think they are.
Maybe USC is overated eh? All will be revealed 9/13.
How can the a major program like OSU not have a decent backup?I thought OSU always has top level recruits. If the loss of one player means all is lost what does that say about your recruiting.Putting Pryor back there to run might be a mistake with some of the headhunters at LB for USC.
I have always said and still say that USC's offense is extremely over-rated. They defense is 1 of the best in the country.....I will not deny that.
I'm sticking with my prediction of tOSU-24 USC-13. I think their O-line is going to be dominated all day and Sanchez will struggle because of it.
It will be low scoring but will get some TD's because our D will force Sanchez into some turnovers.
Boeckman won't be spectacular......but he will make 1 or 2 big throws and show some senior leadership.
Let's get real...He needed to be helped off the field....he's not close to 100%. Let 's also face it...Boeckman is a real nice kid...but he's never winning a big game. We all hold our breath when he's being rushed & just hope he's not throwing a pick. He doesn't really have a great deep receiver who can separate & always throws into double coverage. Defense is great, but always seems to give up that big play or 3rd down play to the better teams. I hate to admit it....but we are the best in the big ten, but don't compare to the really good teams. Pryor will be our starter sooner than later.
I'm listening to Brent Musberger on SportsCenter and he is saying that Tressel clarified his comments once they got to LA. JT really mean that IF the game was played today (Thursday), Beanie would be listed as doubtful.
To me, that's a big difference.
Whooo, this is good news. Ever since the third quarter of the YSU game, this whole thing has been a freaking roller coaster. My nerves can't take much more.
Maybe he won't be 100%, but I bet he starts. The question is: how long will he last?
I have to back up what JBENZ wrote: I heard the same report on sports radio this morning. They also said that Beanie is now a game time decision. The soreness must've gone down.
Tressel was on Mike & Mike this morning at 9:30am and said that Wells was doubtful to play tomorrow and that if he did play it would only be sparingly.
Well, dammit then. However, I'm pretty sure Malcolm Jenkins is going to run back, like, 6 picks for touchdowns.
THE GAME HASN'T EVEN STARTED, LET ALONE BEEN OVER YET!!!
I cried like the rest of us when we lost both NC's, but imagine if the team saw their fans already turning on them!
I'm so happy that we're the underdogs...we're going to be out there with more fight and heart.
Even their own analysts say the below:
But the Trojans are, at times, exceedingly good at shooting themselves in the foot, and if they put their own backs to the wall early, Ohio State is very capable of asserting itself and taking control of the game.
GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!
