I wonder if Mizzou's defense is predictable, or not deep enough, or what. I remember watching the Missouri/Kansas game last year and thinking that for the first half Mizzou looked like the best team, defense and offense, I'd seen that season. Then in the second half Kansas tore through their defense like wrapping paper.

The Illini/Mizzou game was exciting, yet pretty disappointing in the end. Chase Daniels looked pretty good, as did Maclin, but with everything I heard about their defense being so incredible, Illinois didn't seem to have much trouble (at least in the second half). That pick-six at the end was extremely deflating. Mizzou was definitely the better rounded team but was anyone else less than impressed with a team that has gotten so much hype? Oklahoma is going to demolish them if they meet in the Big12 championship.

I have a feeling Juice is going to be the Big10 offensive player of the year (even with a healthy Beanie). Those numbers are gaudy and were put up against a "top tier" team. He is essentially their entire team while the immense depth at Ohio State will do little to help Beanie pad his numbers.

With Mendenhall, the game would have obviously been much different. It's too bad (for the conference) that he left, but I am real glad the Bucks don't have to face that tandem again.

(Oh and Javon Ringer has to be the most overrated player in the Big10)
