We won't need him for 45 carries on Saturday. I would be happy if he can rotate offensive series with Boom Herron, we have necessary depth at running back.
I think after OU we can all agree that its the offensive line which needs to be ready to go hard for 45 carries....no?
i have a feeling Beanie would say that no matter how he felt
Give him the 45 carries. I think the line can try harder this week...hopefully!
If he gets anywhere near 45 carries, we'll be in good shape (and drunk and happy).
Guys Saine is the second best back on the team not herron. I think we have gone out of the way to not give Saine the ball, but when we were down and needed a tough run Saine was in the ball game coming though. If Beanie gets 45 carries he'll have 300 plus but I don't see that happening. I see multiple sets we haven't seen yet. T Pryor running the pony backfield with Beanie and Saine. If Boeckman is soild we have a chance.
I think Beanie comes out strong. His foot will be numbed by the team doctors. His adrenaline will be pumping like never before. He'll be tough to take down, and the USC defense will give up chunks of small yardage; 4 yard rush here, a 6 yard rush there. 1st downs will start to accumulate, and the USC defense will quickly adjust and focus on stuffing the run. Tressel will jump on that and play-action a huge gain to Robiskie, an over the top Boeckman long-ball. If that doesn't score a TD, expect a quick TD run from Beanie, or a TD scramble from Pryor in the redzone. And then its on the defense to shut down USC. A tight game until the early 4th quarter, OSU pulls away and wins, 31-20.
