[...] The Buckeyes, thought to be Tressel’s best team in Columbus are absolutely loaded with NFL talent to match the Trojans at nearly every position. And then, in the opener against a hapless Youngstown State, the unthinkable happened. [...]

Anyone else notice why Ray Small changed his number to 82? I thought he was #4 last year, but I could be wrong. We really need someone to step it up in the return's area. This will be huge for us in big games, he looked ok, but i would grade our results yesterday in that area as a C+. No fumbles, but no real big plays either, there was a punt he let go out of bounds that we lost at least 10 yards because he didn't come up to make the catch. I liked Posey's results, looks like he surplanted Sanzenbacher?? Also I would like to see more quick slant routes, or buble screens, Saine, Hartline, Robiskie, Posey all are dangerous once they have the ball in their hands. Sometimes a quick slant route goes for 40+ yards....just a thought

I wouldn't worry about the red zone inefficiency. It was Youngstown. No magic tricks.

That said, I was impressed with Marcus Freeman on the strong side.

I can't put my finger on it, but there is just something about Boeckman that worries me. Maybe it is because he looks like he feels pressure, even when there is none or maybe it's because he is kinda slow moving around the pocket. Perhaps I just don't trust him to lead us to South Beach.

I think our O-Line still needs a little work. That left side seemed to get beat a couple of times early.........either that or Boeckman had happy feet.

I dont know if it was just me but i noticed a couple times that the penguins got behind our cornerbacks but dropped the ball, good WR's arent going to let that happen. Also that Boeckman did seem sloppy at times, and we couldnt finished off the drives in the redzone. But on a good note we won like we were suppose to and the defense shut them out like they were suppose to. this is after all THE Ohio State.

I agree MSP. In addition, I'm worried about TB now. Beanie was his crutch to some degree.

The defense is completely nasty and good enough for a run, but if this were my team (and I could hit reset at any time like XBox), I'd go exclusively to TP. Tress would never do that and he's a better man than me for that, but...

I'd like to say to Joe Bauserman: Thanks but hopefully we don't need to see you ever again. He really didn't look bad, but each time he trotted onto the field I was disappointed that I wasn't going to see the a-team or something potentially exciting with TP.

If this is true that's just so unfortunate, Beanie was prepared for a great season. Doesn't Michigan State have like the worst quarterback ever, such a hard team to watch play? Looks doubtful but I'm rooting for the Juice to turn it up to keep this day from being another huge black eye for the Big Ten. Why are the Bucks even playing teams like Youngstown State or Ohio, just ridiculous? Michigan Man Rojo had a great coming out day for a powerful USC team. Wisconsin's Jim Brown clone John Clay averages better than 5 yards per carry in debut making the Badger backfield extraordinarily talented.
