Texas benefitted from the ‘05 game even though we had an underachieving Zwick and ill-prepared Smith platooning at QB. The result of the season only enhanced the Texas win as the Bucks climbed up and finished #4.

The same will happen here. We may win and there may (will) be apologists for USCs personnel plight, but if they tear through the remainder of the season the win will continue to build in significance.

Wow. To be fair, we didn’t even get our Saturday scrimmage report until this morning because our spy was out of town on business.

Maybe they should consider shutting the donors out as well. Of course they won’t, but… In the meantime we’ll keep getting our reports from Les Wexner. He loves this blog.

I’ll never forget the 2001 game when that caped M*ch*g*n horses-hind-end poured a barrage of trash-talk via a megaphone on the OSU section prior to the game. Of course when we left he was sitting their head in hands.

Why is it when I see this dude the first thing I think of is Dean Wermer saying, “Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life.”

Jim Tressel didn’t close practices. Fans’ insatiable desire for all things Buckeye have closed practices. If that means we win more games than keep ‘em closed.

Speaking before practice Monday night, Tressel admitted he wants to keep information from leaking to opponents and was disappointed that news of Saturday’s closed scrimmage had been relayed on Internet message boards by donors and other guests allowed to attend.

“Some of our people brought in little blog sites [that said] ‘We saw this’ and ‘We saw that’ and ‘We saw this,’ ” Tressel said. “I guess you’re just trying to lower the percentage of that going on. Our coaches work hard on what we’re trying to prepare and would rather not have their thoughts and ideas and game plans out there kicked around until they get to showcase them.”

It looks like Tressel is on to you guys.

btw, am I the only one wanting to see a fight between that BatDad-type Wolverine fan and that Buckeye fan with the Cowboy hat who wears a rain poncho like a cape (what’s that guy even called? I only noticed him after I graduated)? Someone cue up a continuous mixtape of Joe Esposito’s “You’re the Best”.
