In 2005 & 2006 OSU played Texas
in 2004 OSU played NC State
in 2003 OSU played NC State and Washington
in 2002 OSU played Texas Tech and Washington State
in 2001 OSU played UCLA
in 2000 OSU played Arizona
in 1999 OSU played Miami (Fl) and UCLA
in 1998 OSU played West Virginia and Missouri

OSU generally plays at least 1 top 25 out of conference team, sometimes 2…. but I do agree that scheduliong any D1AA team is pathetic…and that goes for any school.

2 or 3 more National Championship appearances mean 2 or 3 more losses in the BCS title game to an SEC team. Ohio State needs to quit playing the Youngstown States of the world and play at least a semi-tough schedule so they can quit choking every year. I guess they are making a little effort, they are playing USC next season. Never would have believed that.

What more can Ohio State do to play better teams? Recruit for the rest of the conference too? Go ahead and compare that list to your team’s out of conference schedule.

RE: Stern. Take your ess eee see speed and shove it up your ass. I hope you all are able to console yourselves with two losses and watching “less deserving” teams in Miami next year. Much like the Big10 in the 90’s, the conference will beat itself up and you can gloat all day long with the Capitol One trophy. Please tell me you are a…Ole Miss…no, no, a Vandy fan but you are still a part of the mighty ess eee see and you are willing to let everyone in on how powerful your conference is. Awesome! Can’t wait to watch OSU dominate an overhyped, weak Small 10 for the next few seasons only to be embarrassed yet again by a superior SEC opponent. Yawn. Thanks to bureaucratic relationships the Big 10 will once again waltz through a mediocre conference (yes, i know you play USC. BFD) and take away the slot from a more deserving team.

I agree. I noted on my blog at it can only be used when picking Ohio State over a team who’s moniker is “The University of…” Hence, The U of M.

The kid isn’t dumb. He’s a Drama Qu……errr……King. He said “University of Ohio State” to be cute and to get a rise out of people. What’s really funny are the couple hundred comments at MGOBLOG calling him dumb–they didn’t get the joke. What a surprise.
