You can just be playing aggressive defense, and reach for the ball as a guy is truning. You catch them all the time rebounding. Nothing purposfull, mind you. It's already been established that throwing the ball at another player on purpoose is not only legal, but smart. No caveats had been made about WHICH parts of the body OK to richochet the ball off of. Perhaps this leads to distinctions being made. But as of yet, it was a perfectly legal, and hilarious, play.
