I think you could go to any sporting event in Boston and hear the same opinions. Plenty of guys tailgating at Yankee Stadium, too. As a matter of recruiting advantage, I’m willing to allow that racism is more prevalent in the South. But I honestly don’t think it is.

I think we can thank Republicans, specifically Ronald Reagan for the imagery of the black welfare queen. Indeed, the GOP’s use of this imagery for the last 30 years was intended to tap into the racism we witnessed on the clip here. Rest assured none of those guys will be voting for Hillary.

Joe– I am pitching in the most current factual information I can find,,,,,,, Sure, a larger number of blacks are on the welfare roles by percentage of race, but the total numbers show that welfare roles are made up mostly of non-blacks. Wake up–this is 2008!!! There are many reasons for this and no one can justify being a racist a-hole.

MYTH: Most welfare recipients are black.

REALITY: In this case, blacks and whites are about equal.

Myth: People on welfare are usually black, teenage mothers who stay on ten years at a time.

Fact: Most welfare recipients are non-black, adult and on welfare less than two years at a time.

Summary :

According to the statistics, whites form the largest racial group on welfare; half of all welfare recipients leave in the first two years; and teenagers form less than 8 percent of all welfare mothers.

Ok….. now I understand— the SEC is far superior to every other conference. Wow!!! they must really do an excellent job of eductaion at those fine SEC schools……. especially in minority studies…. Those rednecks don’t know that more white people are on the welfare roles than those of
color—– I’ll bet half those guys in the video don’t have regular jobs and/or get some kind of public assistance….. but they can still afford their beer!!!!

Wow. I’m sure these same opinions are shared by enough people in Ohio, too. Everywhere, unfortunately. But damn, if those guys can’t appreciate that they are saying those things about the players they cheer…that’s astounding.
