IB – You guys played a great game. Hats off. In terms of the pre-game back-slapping, what do you expect? The Bucks were 10-0 and hadn’t played in a close game, while Illinois entered the game as a one-dimensional team.

If you think that the Illini played a typical game on Saturday, then you’re completely correct.

Ahh, the backslapping continues before the Illini game…(Apparently operating your own blogs holds more perks than Elvis’ nightstand).

Liked the marching band with the “beat blue” banners. Saw them in the first quarter – didn’t see ‘em after that.

SENIOR DAY!

Senior Day for me will, for now on, ALWAYS bring the picture to my mind of Troy Smith running onto the field last year for his final win over m. A classic moment. Buckeyes cannot look ahead. The fans in the Shoe need to be LOUD!! For the seniors, for the team, for the conference and (most importantly) for me — a win on Saturday is all that should matter now.

I did like what Barton said about really enjoying his senior year and how he has a lot of friends that are in the NFL and most of them are miserable. I hope Little Animal, Robo, Gun Show, & Jenkins all listen to that and decide to stay for their senior year at Ohio State. I can dream, can’t I?

This is going to be a good game but really Illinois isn’t going to be a good test to prep us for next weeks game against Michigan. We’ve got the top 10 in the Big 10 and one of the best in the nation. They’ll have a tough time getting many scores this week as long as we can keep our heads clear.

WAKE UP BUCKEYE NATION

I don’t know what it is, but I just don’t like it. We have three games left and I am not feeling the intensity from us the fans. What do you see this weekend? We can’t get complacent. Its a double edge sword as I see it. We are NOT done yet – we have some serious work left to do as a team and as fans. And yet, we ARE nearing the end of something that comes and goes so quickly…before you know it Buckeye Football will be gone again and the long, long void begins. I’m not ready for that and I for one am going to enjoy every minute of every day left in this season. And I will not be happy until a new crystal football is sparkling in the trophy case at The Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
