I don't fear Michigan's defense, but playing at home and desperate for a win in this series they will most likely play over their heads (at least for a little while). Their offense is formidable, but it has disappeared at times this season, inexplicably. Of course, Henne and Hart will be willing to give their left arms for a win against OSU, so expect their best performances. Ditto for Jake Long and Traitor Crable. Still, Lllllloyd will find a way to lose it in the end. I'm not worried.

You have to be concerned about Hart. Even an injured Hart is going to come out and run like a crazed bull in that game, especially if OSU is unbeaten at that point. Neither he, Jake Long, nor Chad Henne have beaten OSU yet, and they're bound to be psyched up for a chance to win their senior year and spoil a chance at the MNC for the Bucks. As awful as The Team Up North has looked at times this year, don't think for a second that they'll roll over for the Bucks.

Their defense has looked pretty porous this year. They don't seem to be able to defend the pass and the run at the same time, and play action has been a major issue at times (RE: Oregon and App State). Against one-dimensional offenses (Purdue, Minnesota, and to a lesser extent PSU) they have played reasonably well, but none of those teams have the potent balanced attack that the Bucks are exhibiting this year. Considering that it's a rivalry game yada yada yada I expect a tough game, definitely tougher than PSU.

RECE DAVIS (ESPN)

Jim Tressel doesn't get the credit he deserves. As more and more teams go through the motions, come out flat, get upset, Tressel continues to go out and exceed expectations each and every year. I believe he's the best coach in college football.

I couldn't agree more.

I don't like the idea of rotating QB's. But THE TODD looks like he has his handle on #1 till he leaves, God Forbid barring any injury..."In THE TODD we Trust". Competition is good for the soul and developing talent...imagine Henton and Pryor competing for #2 next year, and basically the #1 spot after TB takes his leave. Imagine the plays Tressel can develop for those 2 athletic QB's. It is good to know your team will be in good hands!! After years of mediocre QB's, pre-Krenzel, who was no All-American, but you cannot dispute his record as a starter.... it will be nice not to have to worry about that position.

Good questions Chazz. On the Michigan front, the offense worries me as well because no matter how much it pains me to admit it, Mike Hart is a great running back. They'll be playing in front of a huge home crowd and fired up at a chance to play spoiler.

In regards to Pryor, you gotta keep recruiting guys like him, no matter who is on your team. Guys that went to USC a couple of years ago knew full well that the Trojans could get a guy like McKnight one day. Henton will get another chance, but the Vest will play the guy that's best suited to win ball games.

I would have to go with the offense... as good as our defense is the michigan offense scares me only because of experience and motivation especially after we had a dominating defense last year and allowed them to put up 39 points... having said that i think this year's game will be nothing like last year's and i think we still get the better of them. As far as henton and pryor i'm not sure what to think. i think pryor is going to be a special player and is too good to pass up. Not sure on where Henton's head is at although i think we all thought the same thing about troy at one point in time. So as far Henton's status in the future... well i guess only the future will tell us.

Looking past Wisky and Illinois, are you more concerned about Michigan's defense or offense? I don't feel either unit is better than they were last year. Secondly, if we continue to pursue QB Pryor, what message does that send (if any) about Henton's status in the future scheme of things. Thanks to anyone who answers.
