The difference will be the running game...

Trying a little number crunching in an attempt to predict this weeks outcome.

If this ends up remotely close - I am heading to Vegas

Ohio State: 250 pass/yds, 195 rush/yds, 28 pts.
Purdue: 250 pass/yds, 85 rush/yds, 17 pts.

Wow that's retarded.

It's not like they have any type of advantage going into this game, Ross-Aide stadium is like a nice D-I high school so I don't see why any one would think Purdue would be a lock.

My distate for the so called "Media" continues to grow. This site and others like it are the only thing keeping me from snapping. I find myself reading and listening to "professional" media personalities and temporarily buying the "blue-light special" refuse they are peddling.

So Jason Lloyd of the Morning Journal (Lorain, OH) was pissing in my ears yesterday afternoon on my drive home about the upcoming tilt with Purdue, right. That's cool, god knows I love to talk Buckeye football. Not cool. His comments about the Bucks made me break out in a cold sweat, followed by the desire to drive to Lorain, box up his personal items, drive him to the nearest international border, plant a kilo of cocaine on him, slip an "Alqueda is Okay-da" t-shirt on him, strap a bomb to his chest, and quickly call the FBI.

What really bunched my boxer-briefs was that his comments initially slipped through my "Media" filter and I was actually believing him. I realize I should know better, but it is sometimes hard. All you hear from them and their colleagues is how much time, effort, and research they put into their stories and radio comments. That's all well in good but I have two intelligent 12 year old daughters who could spend days studying the Buckeyes and college football as a whole and never come up with a rational thought. If you don't know or understand what you are studying - no amount of research on that subject will allow you to produce anything other than fecal matter.

Luckily, I was only temporarily stunned by his raygun of crappolla and didn't waste the petro on a long drive to Lorain. Long winded aren't I? Anyway, Mr. Lloyd says that we have "ZERO" chance of beating Purdue this weekend. Really? What on earth has this "professional" based this prediction on? I am not so afflicted by the poison that dwells in the buckeye to believe that it is not possible for us to lose to Purdue - stranger things have happened. But I cannot for the life of me understand what data is available to make someone believe this game is absolutely unwinnable. Somebody help me out here...am I crazy?

Fellow 11W souls - thank you for allowing me to ramble and complain about something I think we all know already. It probably saved lives.

My NFL team, Da' Bears have tried their hand at UM alums, Anthony Thomas and David Terrel were both drafted by them and were complete bust. I agree with Frosty, a Michigan alum could take the Bears to the Super Bowl, but it would be bittersweet. I have not worried about it in recent years, as UM just doesn't have that many players drafted (0 on day 1 in 2006).

It's funny how the OSU & UM affiliations still translate to the NFL. I remember being totally bummed out that Spielman was drafted by the Lions.

My NFL team is the Steelers. It has been awhile, at least that I can remember, that the Steelers had a Wolverine. But they drafted Woodley this year. He doesn't start, but does play a lot...and does well. But no way in hell do I ever buy a Woodley Steelers jersey.

Something tells me that Buckeye/Browns fans would forgive Brady of his choice of college if he had the team off to a 10-0 start.

Just ask Yankee fan. They hate everyone in the league that's any good ... up until they don the pinstripes (Clemens).

My cousin (a 2004 Ohio State grad) is now living in Cleveland and is a huge Browns/Indians/Cavs fan. His girlfriend has a Braylon Edwards jersey and he will not stop giving her shit about it.

I'm with him. Tom Brady could QB for the Browns and I would still hate him for being a Michigan alum.

If I saw a Buckeye doing Michigan cheers as a Lion, I would have a signifcant problem with that.
