I agree with the running game point.

I want to give the team the benefit of the doubt. Maybe Robo was the only Buckeye with his head in the game. You never want to hear a player say things like what Beanie said, but we're all human. They get a chance to go ahead and redeem themselves with a solid, punishing win over Akron. That or trade the Shaggin' Wagon for a scooter.

I don't understand the Georgia love either. A lot of people (Herbie included) mentioned Ok. State as a team to watch but that was about it, I don't know that it should have been enough to jump a couple spots in the A.P.

I'm not sure if I would put Ohio State at #8, the biggest question coming into the season may have been about the QB position, but after Saturday it seems like the even bigger question is about the OL. Youngstown State should not be in the backfield all day. As good as Todd Boeckman is/will be he is not good enough to be throwing on Big Ten opponents all day. We will need a running game by the Wisconsin game.

I think the damage was done before the game was over, Michigan was ready to be dropped. However, I believe the coaches try to take care of each other, because Mich-again only dropped to 27th. They should not have received any votes, just like Notre Dames.

I think the Hun would have fallen out even without the blogs. If they didn't, then the polls would have no credibility. Better question might be how far would they have dropped if they didn't have a grad asst. coaching special teams and actually made the field goal.

Hey that's the way I work. Since what I write isn't popular enough, I bug people that actually have a say that people care about. And, this is what I do at work.

Big week this week, there should be some cementing and moving around. I bet Oklahoma comes out looking like a rose this week. And you might see a resurfacing of a certain team up North into the polls.

Good catch. I fixed that phrase.

I'm big on Cal right now as well. We already submitted this week's ballot, but let us know what you think when we drop the rough draft of the Week 2 ballot on Monday.

I think you meant, GT is in, and FSU is out.

What about Cal at 7, they did beat a quality opponent, even though that's at home. Then Louisville, then OSU, then Texas.

Everyone has Georgia really high, I think they're overrated, they beat OSU at home, but OSU wasn't ranked and I don't think they're that great. In my head, they're down a few notches.
