Mason has led the Gophers to more Bowl games than the school went to in all the years prior to his regime. Reminds me of IU firing Coach Bill Mallory. He coached there from '84-'96 & took the Hoosiers to 6 bowl games during that time. Previously, they only went to 2 bowl games & have gone to none since. Huge mistake by Minn. He's no Vest, but he's a decent coach. They're going to open a new stadium Dennie Green style if they're not careful. Also, I forgot about Johnelle Smith when I mentioned that Mason was the 1st conference football opening for the year.
