Poll News: OSU dropped to 4th in the Coaches and 5th in the AP Poll following a 1-1 week. The baby Buckeyes lost an unusually intense November battle at North Carolina and followed that up with a sound thrashing of overmatched Valparaiso.
National Leaders: The Mad Bombers are 4th in the country in made 3pt FG’s (86) and 10th in 3pt FG% at 43.7% while Mike Conley is 6th in assists at 6.6 per contest.
Conference Leaders: Ron Lewis (17.8) and Daequan Cook (17.6) are 4th and 5th respectively in scoring while Conley leads the conference in both steals (2.8) and assists. From behind the arc, OSU boasts three of the top seven most accurate 3pt threats with Cook 2nd (51.4%), Ivan Harris 3rd (50%) and Ron Lewis 7th at 47.7%.
In other news, Greg Oden was voted Most Handsome Freshman by a select group of voters including Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Greg’s no Rick Fox, but hey, who is?
