The theme of New Albany's July 4 parade is "A Celebration of Champions," and who better to lead such an affair than New Albany's conquering hero, Darron Lee?

Here are the pertinent details, via NewAlbany.org:

The parade begins at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, turns east onto Dublin-Granville, turns right onto Market Street, left onto Main Street (US 62) and then left onto Dublin-Granville Road to head west back toward the Church of the Resurrection. Come see the floats, stilt walkers, juggxlers, tractors, Disney characters, and much more. Children are encouraged to join us as part of the bike parade sponsored by Mic Gordon of Greater Columbus Keller Williams. All children participating in the bike parade will receive a coupon for a complimentary Graeter’s ice cream cone, also compliments of Gordon.

The New Albany Community Events Independence Day parade will begin at 10:30 AM  The evening festival begins at the school campus at 6 PM. Remember that church services will be taking place at the Church of the Resurrection and plan accordingly for parking. Fireworks will begin at 10 PM. Please make sure to stay behind the safety barriers put in place to protect you from the fireworks. Fireworks rain date is Sunday, July 5.

As far as Grand Marshals go, Darron Lee can assure safe passage to those behind him:

So yeah, New Albany could have done a lot worse.
