NEW ORLEANS — Jeff Greene is a wide receiver for Ohio State who normally wears No. 89. This week, though, he's wearing a different number.

As the Buckeyes practiced for the first time in New Orleans on Sunday, Greene was spotted wearing an Alabama No. 9 jersey as he appears to be playing the role of Amari Cooper on Ohio State's scout team.

Cooper is the Crimson Tide's star player on offense. So far this season, Cooper has 115 catches for 1,656 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also finished third in this year's Heisman Trophy voting.

Defending Cooper will be key in the Buckeyes' chances of defeating top-ranked Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.
